What fantastic questions! And such sweet baby noises 😊 My favourite audio so far this year is How To Say Babylon by Safiya Sinclair, it's amazing, she reads it beautifully. I'm excited about Familiaris by David Wroblewski, the sequel to the girl with the louding voice, the new Anna James middle grade series and the new Sally Rooney 😊 x

Nice video! Love the historical context and images. The burning of wolf-Peter and his mistress and child is tragic, however when you go back a few thousand years to times of Ancient Greece, the women controlled religion, magic, drugs, potions, healing and glamour. Circe had magic (dugs) that would turn men into beasts and tame animals like wolves and leopards and lions. Artemis would turn men who caught her bathing into stags and have her wolves or hounds tear them apart. Most of history, women were the center of religion and magic, until the monastic Judaism and its offshoots put everyone into boxes and destroyed that which wasn’t them. Seems fairytales carry ancient traditions down through the ages

Hello lovely Jen, I am trying to find a video where you recommend soft beanies and scarves, and where you tend to get them? Or did I imagine it. Thank you ❤.

The first written account is a hundred years after the event. This leads me to believe that the timing of what really happened is not completely accurate. The number of children does not appear to be that many, for a main town. All of this leads me to believe that a number of things happened, over a longer time scale, as some of the possibilities were from 1212, and others later than 1284. It sounds very likely that there were a number of different things that could have happened, children dancing, until they die, families sending their children away from the town, to somewhere safe. Whole families, including the children, moving somewhere else, to find work. Along with the plague, there were things similar to the Black Death about the time that this was supposed to happen. The other possibility was that the children were taken for slavery, as well as the Crusade. All of these could have happened over a number of years, but the timeline was compressed to a day, when they were able to write the story.

Not me finding out after reading both The Mother and The Dream House that Richard Armitage narrates them!!! I've enjoyed going back into crime/mystery/thriller books through your recommendations. I had been in quite an extended reading slump but they've really got me excited about reading again! So thank you! And loved hearing your happy daughter ❤
