That was marvelously done! Good clear explanation. When I kayak with my girls we do something like this. But with more hands on multiple paddles. Once one is in, she holds her sister’s kayak still. Then they take off and leave me to fend for myself….kids today!

We go on small rivers. Sometimes there is current where we need to get out. I would like to have demonstration of how to exit when current is trying to grab the boat.

You will need to look to another KZbin videographer to help you with that challenge. Our videos are to help our guests using watercraft on our lake at our B&B.

Looks yummy! But suggestions: make a chocolate “bullet “, and punch a hole in the side to insert it. That way, you’ll have no seam to seal??

Sorry... it's an early video attempt to help our guests at our B&B to use the kayaks safely. Its worked well for our guests and MANY others All I can say about the voice is its the one God gave me - most times I'm told by husband that i'm too loud!! :))

I'm a beginner, and this technique works well. I'm well into the 200's lbs, and there's no problem with the paddle. Carbon Fiber is very strong.

Thnx indeed. Wish had taken getting in and out more seriously. Would have saved the embarrassment of falling in the water and getting soaked to my drawers when our kayak group was about to set off for a long kayaking on Thames.

I'm new to kayaking and my kayak has a skid (Challenger K1). Using your method, once in the kayak the skid would be pushed into the mud. Does this mean the only way to get into my kayak is push it further out and walk into the water to enter the kayak?
