In 1996 I saw something like that at a garage in the Scots highlands. Bright yellow with 'forestry' signage. With it was a Landy on tank tracks. Still no mention of the Aussie designed and built Perentie. 🤔

A rubbish title written by someone who knows nothing of English grammar. Very slowly then for the person responsible... The word UNIQUE is a superlative. A superlative cannot be qualified. You cannot have something that is a little bit unique, sort of unique, very, totally or most unique. Something that is unique is a one off and no Landrover is or ever was unique. A Landrover may though be variously : interesting, special, unusual, attractive etc. As you attempt to claw back some sense of respectability with your writing your rewritten title might read: "The most unusual Land Rovers ever" or, "The most interesting Land Rovers ever" ..... etc.

This video keeps confusing Land Rover and Range Rover. Two different vehicles. Kind of like confusing a Jeep with an AMC Eagle.

I was involved in the marketing of the Townley Cross Country 6x6 Land Rover to the Jordanian Armed Forces, it was shipped by truck and then presented to the JAF. I left Jordan and moved to Bahrain, one day it turned up!! The vehicle was designed to be the cheapest option for TOW missile, as the missile system and batteries could be accommodated on the vehicle as opposed to the options, which were two Jeeps or a Half Track, the LR was cheaper too.

As a 30+ year Land Rover owner covering Series vehicles, Defenders, Disco's and both Freelander 1 and 2, I must have been in the minority for liking the DC100. In my opinion, Land Rover should've built it - I reckon it would have really sold well. But touting it as the Defender replacement killed it dead.People just weren't ready back then for something like the DC100 to be the replacement for such an icon as the Defender. But just as Land Rover introduced the Evoque in to the Range Rover range , the DC100 (but with it's own name) would've fitted in the Land Rover family along side the Freelander.
@FamousFourProductsLtd12 күн бұрын
Hit the nail on the head, people just weren't ready for the Defender to be replaced and this project failed because of that simple fact.

An X plate 6 wheel drive land rover farm vehicle with an aluminium flat bed body. Used for spraying with a 40 foot boom, for water carrying with a 2000 litre bowser and micro granular spreader. Drive for the equipment was by direct drive of a hydraulic motor from the front crank. The sixth axle was driven by a transverse gearbox off the middle axle. Driven by a 2.2 diesel with a turbo. This was adapted by a company from Trumpet in Herefordshire. I have no picture, sorry

It had four disks, like sheves in a pulley, with a grove in them, one on each wheel, slung below the Landy was a long pendulum with a weight on so that the centre of gravity was verry low. One of the mad idears thought up for the Army.

Dislikes/downvotes are disabled, so I'll simply give my opinion here. You span the content out into two videos when you could easily have just made one longer one. The format is lazy, the background music loop is annoying, and your delivery is flat. You can do far better than this, but I guess your youtube channel is about as mediocre as the land rover is in this day and age.

They actually made two Bel Aurens Longnose prototypes; they were based on late-60s Seies 2as, but were built in 2008. As others have said , "unique" is a superlative. I also think you meant "mortal coil" instead of "mortal earth".

I was in the RAF when they first introduced the Carmichael conversion 6x4 in the 70s ,within a couple of months they were put under restrictions because if the went round a corner to fast they fell over, due to the light water tank being set to high, the one at Machrihanish had to go back for modification so we ended up using the old Landrover fire truck till it came back.
