I was scared for years to go to the bathroom as a kid after I read a book in the school library showing some old spy techniques or whatever it was, and on one of the pages it showed someone hiding inside the toilet (the kind where you essentially just shit into a hole in the ground) who was poking people with a spear... it was from that moment my childhood changed, and I was scared of being poked with a spear while sitting on the toilet, even on the modern kind with water pipes, etc. So I agree, DO NOT TELL KIDS THAT STORY!

I love the fact that Hannah didn't correct them on what the manhole cover was doing because she very clearly was describing it spinning on its side before falling over as what was flinging the s*** _(it landed_ but did the whoop whoop coin thing+her hand motions). She never once agreed with Izzy's "poop geyser" description so she didn't lie, either. She deserves more credit than she even got as both a storyteller and a crowd work audience member

To be fair, there likely was _some_ form of geyser, because those covers are typically pretty high up away from the actual sewage, meaning it would have been relatively clean if it had been launched from air pressure alone.

It’s basically a pressure system, a lot of pressure was expelled nearby, causing a vacuum. It’s obviously a niche occurrence, though, so don’t get TOO worried. The effect would lessen the further away you are from the expulsion.
