My favourite egg memory was during college. My roommate’s friend told us that his parents had bought him one of those big jugs of Milkis and was complaining that it was so much to drink for one person. Now, I love me some Milkis and hadn’t had some in a while so I asked him (through my roommate) if he wanted to trade for something. He said he wanted a carton of orange juice. Sure, absolutely, that’s a fair trade. But he had been saying that he hadn’t done groceries for a while and didn’t have any eggs to have with his ramen that night so I decided to be generous. We hop in the car and head to a darkened strip mall with a single streetlight shining on the parking lot. It’s 11pm by the way. We wait until he walks over and like the weirdest dealers you’ve ever seen trade the Milkis for the OJ. He’s like ‘ok cool’. But I’m like ‘you forgot something, king’ and pull two loose eggs from my sweatpants. He’s looks at them and goes ‘okay’. And then we parted, going our separate ways. 🥚🥚

My egg memory is that time my doctor asked if I had any feelings about my gender and I said, "I don't get why anyone would ever want to become a boy, but it makes sense, wanting to transition into a girl. Believe me, I get that so deeply, but that's not me. I'm not trans." And then my doctor just went "okay" and didn't interrogate that any further, and I remained an uncracked egg for the next six years.

When I was 6 years old, I was learning how to cook, and I could easily fry a couple of eggs, but one day I foolishly used a frying pan with very low walls, so some oil got onto the flames, and I witnessed a genuine pillar of fire rise from my still frying eggs, going up to the ceiling, before vanishing in a moment. I swore off cooking for years after that.

There was a time in high school where my mom would make little squares of cooked eggs, and it was an easy breakfast for me. Hey, I also have a unique egg memory, this randomly pops up in my head all the time, I can never forget it for some reason. When I was like 10 our landlord's son used to be my classmate, so I'd randomly meet him in the staircase sometimes. One time while I was going down the stairs he sneakily called out to me, looked around to see if anybody is looking, and pulled out a whole egg from his pocket. He was trying to say she stole it from the fridge when he squeezed a bit to hard and the egg popped and the insides fell on the stairs, it then slowly rolled down the stairs. We were rolling on the floor laughing, for some reason it looked so funny.
