There are some lovely chords ion this piece. It reminds me of some Genisis tracks.

It's a great idea to figure out how the earlier Genesis group (with Peter Gabriel) might have played this song. Cover versions are welcome...

The keyboard/bass player output is fabolus. You could do shows with just her and a drummer and lead instrument 3 pieces or PEOPLE i should say playing 4 to 5 parts wonder if she can sing while doing that?
@stormyweatherblues3 ай бұрын
Just look around, you'll find several KZbin clips with Barbara Dennerlein in duo or trio settings, and no, she doesn't sing.

Sa formation classique et son immense talent lui donnent beaucoup de crédibilité mais je préfère personnellement la sonorité de l’Hammond B3

As an American, I wish my country still cared about jazz even back in '84. We had already moved on at that point which I think is a shame.

Barbara I love the Hammond especially the B and C series. Jimmy Smith came for a two week concert here in Johannesburg South Africa in 1978, where we celebrated his 50th birthday. I was employed by the group that brought him out for the concert to be his organ technician, which I did and even got my Jimmy Smith vinyl records signed by him. He played on a B3 and had two of the largest Lesley speakers available to fill the area. I also had to breakdown the system and have it loaded on to a transport vehicle to be taken to the TV studios for a live recording session, then back to the centre he was playing at.

I met and played with Barbara when she just started out, many years ago at the Rheingauer Jazz Festival. She was then already a sensation.

The funny thing, the Dr. Bohm organ did a good job to emulate a Hammond. Barbara moves a bit like Rhoda Scott but she doesn't look like a little girl who starts to explore the world. Later she uses a self sampled contrabass for pedal plus a vintage Hammond.
