Fly Predators from Spaulding Labs. We’ve used them for several years now and they do seem to help. We still have to use the traps like you’ve shown here here the stalls which also help. Nothing will get them all but the combination of fans and the various products do seem to keep the flies at bay.

Awesome. Thanks for watching. I appreciate the feedback on the fly predators. I’ve been thinking of trying them and it helps to have someone with experience give their feedback to us!

Hello Sir, your channel's videos are nice and impressive. I'm confident that you're missing something while uploading videos. So your KZbin channel does not rank at the top of search results. Do you want to increase your channel's subscribers and views organically?

You can still see the original color, thats not a nasty tractor. When theres enough mud and shit caked on it you cant tell if it's a ford or deere then it might be time for a wash.

Just curious, why keep shoes on this horse instead of leaving him barefoot? I've never dealt with a crippled/arthritic horse, but here in Colorado most of the people I know keep their horses barefoot unless they're riding a lot or need some sort of corrective shoes.
@hbfarmsnc9 ай бұрын
That is an excellent question. Our vet is working directly with our farrier to be sure that he is as comfortable as possible. The vet’s approach was that the show would assist with his balance and footing given that he is quite unbalanced at this point with the arthritis in his knee. We do sincerely appreciate the comment and we appreciate you watching!!!

Quite a few producers use the acumalator/ grapple system........ ours is a bit more involved, being as ours is a commercial operation furnishing TSC stores with Hay..... We round bale everything in the field, transport. store and rebale into small squares as needed..... Two men can convert 38 to 42 4x5 rounds into 38 21 Bale Baron bundles and loaded into a 53ft enclosed trailer in about 4 hrs....... Everything is handled mechanically

I realize that it is hard work for you I'm sure you have another job besides the farm but if you want to know what real hard work is in baling hay is I remember we baled around one hundred acres of hay per year on top of farming350 acres row crop. My dad and I plus we hired three or four kids to put it up. We didn't have fancy equipment we cut it with a sickle bar type mower two of them to be exact that was later. Then a hay rake and we usually hired a custom baler because we never could keep one going and couldn't afford one now we used wagons behind the baler and then put them in the barn no accumulator no skidsteer to put it up for us I remember working sixteen hours in a day stacking hay. So I think your way would have been great back then hay was mostly either all done in big round bales but we couldn't feed it easily to our cows that way and had the barn space. I am glad neither my dad or I had to have a job in town because by the time the cattle were taken care of and the row crop farm was done it was not an easy life I liked your videos and hope you get two crops if hay every year. Happy holidays to you and your family. Good luck in the future with all you do.

Yessir! That is TRUE hard work. The title is a bit “tongue-in cheek”, as obviously the labor component is WAY easier than it could be. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate seeing your comment and your support. Thank you for watching!!!

We erected an old farm bell, but it won’t hag straight. When you pull the rope, the bell won’t come back straight, stays sideways. How do we fix this problem?
@hbfarmsnc11 ай бұрын
Hmmm. I have not encountered that one. I wonder if the yolk has some rust or something that is preventing the bell from returning. I appreciate the question and I’m sorry I don’t have a better explanation! Thanks for watching!!!
@dennishuff29142 ай бұрын
Try putting a little grease in the yoke where the bell pivots. I try to grease mine at least once a year, that seems to keep the bell coming back close to upright.

Thank you!!!!! We appreciate your feedback. Not sure it’ll make much this year. We have a ton of soil amendments to make and some changes (irrigation needed and fencing needed for deer!) they need to happen to have a quality garden. But stay tuned as we work in those projects!

I have a No. 2 bell which I believe is smaller. When I mounted it on a 4x6 at my previous home, the post ended up bowing quite a bit in a relatively short time (three to four years). Do you think the 6x6 will bend at all, and if so, what can be done to prevent it?
@hbfarmsnc Жыл бұрын
Interesting. I think this post will hold it with out any issue. So far, so good. There hasn’t been any checking, lean, or otherwise since it was Installed over a month or so ago!

Can you tell me what the number 3 means?
@hbfarmsnc Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The number refers to the “size”. The #3 farm bells are 19” diameter at the mount (bottom) and weigh approximately 75lbs.

This little lettuce bed maker will never till new ground properly half ass at best. Turn the ground over let is sit a few months then chisel plow as deep as possible followed up by a good discing those three steps are the only way to break new ground you are just wasting fuel with a tiller…
