I love Vince but I think this interview is the first time I see him being defensive & a little combative because of the way he heard the questions instead of listening to how they were asked. The good energy started to die because he kept trying to say how "everyone does this, everyone does that" or repeating why his songs "are verse hook no bridge cause nobody helped me" when nobody was even saying anything about them "not being good enough". I hope he learns how to get over fighting off *that* "exec" in his head or defending himself and can open up and talk about his art more like "I wrote it this way" or "I fcked with the beat because". It's unfortunate cause P was even gassing the one bar in his track and he turned it into "nobody appreciates Earl" when earlier he said it shouldn't matter because the influence is more meaningful than the noise. Just be okay with what it is and appreciate yourself as well for what you've done and when people connect to things you've said. I love Vince, thought this would be the best interview for him to just relax and speak more openly but he was quite defensive (and no defensive doesn't have to be loud or negative, it can just be closed off).

It’s amazing that this man’s career is so vast, that the ppl talking to him can only speak on period of Thriller. He was 50. There was 20 years before that of music 😂 This man is the Bible

What song did Pharrell compliment Vince on at around 57:19? Did he say “We Want Smoke”? I looked it up but I can’t find it

@41:50 I used to be on that server a little bit in 2021 and I remember when someone was really slur gross to a couple of us, i tagged a mod and they not only ban hammered on spot but spent time just validating that shit wasnt ok, asking me if im ok and shit. Gotta say that's something i really gotta put on this guy's name. Glad he priorities and advertises it and hope he upholds.

Seeing Pharrell's reaction to the songs that inspired him was a beautiful site to see!!!! You got to see the emotion, the excitement and energy. That was truly amazing to see the impact it did to him!! As well as for me!!

Love Trevor's mind. The fact is we only get the facts when we search for them. So much history has been rewritten for political reasons that he is exactly right. We must see each others perspectives and you can only do that by reading everything on each subject.

Just want to make it known that there is a gogo scene over here in Baltimore that has influence from our Baltimore club scene ! But you mainly only see it at block parties. It’s not as well known or there isn’t any recordings of it.
