Mine just arrive yesterday and it’s making a coil-whine noise

So did mine, so I had it replaced under RMA, and the replacement also had the same noise! I opened an RMA for that one this week. Sheesh.

It's such a rotten feeling when you hit someone during a close battle like that, especially if it ends up taking them out of the race.

Great video! Stupid question: can you not use simhub and bypass the haptic connect software? I'm trying to figure it out before buying. Thanks!
@dannyleeracing13 сағат бұрын
Yes you can, and I now do!
@ianng463317 сағат бұрын
It just sucks that in the sim you have to memorize how far the road and curb goes when you are looking at the apex at the other side, because in real life when you dip half a tyre into the outside edge of the curb or road, you would know from the seat and you don't have to do it with rote memory.

@@dannyleeracing Thanks Danny! I asked because i see most of pro sim racers do it when exiting corners to regain stability like you said or grip.

My answer / excuse - they don’t have 2 kids. In all seriousness the more limited time you have the smarter you need to be in how you spend it. Assuming getting faster is of importance. Some people just enjoy the community and racing at any level.

Disheartened or rather, disgruntled. Nowadays slower racers wanna punt you off if you pass them cleanly. But then you just get hotlap merchants that forget how to take proper lines in race and think it's still quali lines. Not realising they have to defend and manoeuvre until they're clear

I had a free 3 month subscription to iRacing, and I admit it was fun. But, in 3 months, I only.put in about 12 hours total, if I was lucky. Even now, with 100 games install, around 40+ of those racing/sim racing, I barely get 5 hours a month in. To me, the price to time apent ratio is what is stopping me from renewing. Although, don't get me wrong, at the time I was using my 8 year old again gaming laptop, and I now have a triple monitor and VR setup, with shifter and handbrake. Maybe when I eventually upgrade my Thrustmaster ecosystem I will have the time to invest in it.

I play on GT7 (I know, the kiddies sim), but I've found brake bias is also very useful on tracks that use much higher tyre wear than usual. If you're finding your front tyres are depleting really quickly while your backs are barely scratched, I change the brake bias to give a more even wear on them. The fronts are already taking a lot of damage from cornering, saving them a little on braking means you can stay out an extra lap and be able to, continue cornering well or not spin out on slow exits if you're saving your back tyres. Can anyone from more professional sims gives feedback on if this works there too?
@therealovidox4 күн бұрын
Great review mate but i would've liked a little more editing showing the onscreen gameplay with the pedals inside a box screen just giving us an idea of the response and reaction of your inputs on the pedals vs the on track translation. Things like cornering, acceleration... the heal toe method and how well the car responds etc obviously it's all game dependant but would've been good to see 2-3 games tested

i feel obligated to post this so people don't go an buy a wheel on strength figures as how quickly it reacts is more important. These new Clubsport DD wheels are much better in that area than the CSL DD which are their main selling points. Even 8nm is more than enough, of you have your strength set higher than that its not realistic and its slowing ypu down as well.
