Some dude in another video said you could damage the caliper if you compress the pistons without putting the car in service mode , is this true . .?
@ez12a9 күн бұрын
My guide shows how you would put them in service mode manually without any obd tools. If you have a tool capable of putting it in service mode you can use it and skip the removal of the black actuator and winding the torx screw back

Never pump a pressure bleeder empty. That's how you get lots of bubbles and air into the lines. People please do not do it this way. You must always have fluid in reservoir no less than minimum level and best at max level. Top off with new fluid. Then you put a bottle of new fluid in the bleeder pump. This guy doesn't show any new fluid in the bleeder pump and is not how you do proper brake or clutch flush and bleed.
@ez12a17 күн бұрын
Disagree. The clutch line on the civic at least does not require pumping a lot of fluid throughout it to flush. As long as you don't run the brake reservoir below minimum it is impossible to pump air into the lines. Physics just doesn't work that way. Keep an eye on the reservoir and there won't be problems. Top off when done. Using the bleeder empty does not automatically pump air into the system. Leak testing the bleeder is done empty.

After I did the rear brakes I started getting a low speed squeak only after the pads get warmed up. Any ideas what it could be? Maybe the edges are too sharp??
@ez12a21 күн бұрын
Could be caused by the lip that develops on the rotor rubbing against the new pads that haven't yet been worn in. Try doing a bedding procedure, or put some brake quiet grease on the back of the pads
@GoldensniperGaming20 күн бұрын
@@ez12a would you suggest I take the pads off and sand that lip down? It only happens after the pads warm up not when cold
@ez12a17 күн бұрын
@@GoldensniperGaming imo don't bother with sanding. I would try using anti squeal on the back of the pads. The groove will be worn in over time.
@GoldensniperGaming16 күн бұрын
@@ez12a Ok, I put on OEM Honda pads and they have the plastic sticky backing that helps with noise, so Idk if anti squeal on the back of pads would help but its worth a shot

Heads-up about the MB dash cam app, it does support auto loop recording and records at 1080p 60Hz, 20mpbs. But only the front camera, you should get a polarizer for the front to reduce dash board reflection. You are an absolute master in getting the rear camera cable routed. That looks like fingertips hurting hard. Great video.

When pumping the brakes at the end, do you turn the car on ? At what point I can engage the ebrake ?
@ez12a2 ай бұрын
You can pump the brakes with the car off. Should have enough vacuum in the system to do so. Engage the ebrake once everything is back together.

I have the ramps as yours but the lip/bumper touches first before the tires and i would like to lift the car the same way you have. I don't want to purchase a jack which won't lift the vehicle high enough for the ramps not to fit. Again would appreciate the most if you let me know 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Just for some clarification/peace of mind, once the spindle has been manually retracted, does the rear caliper just compress straight in normally like a front caliper? Or does it have to be twisted and compressed at the same time like a manual parking brake caliper? I’m finding contradicting info on this, thanks in advance.
@ez12a11 ай бұрын
After retraction of the spindle, the Rear caliper does not have to be twisted to compress.
