i have the same ramps. a single 2x4 on each side at the base of the ramp allows you to drive onto the ramps without pushing them with the bumper

Not sure about the model but they're the standard ones from Auto parts stores. As noted in the description they are too steep to drive up on with the type R. You will need a lower profile ramp. The Jack is very old and isn't made anymore. I would get one of the "higher end" (lol) low profile Daytona Jacks from harbor freight if I needed one.

Quick question how is the new drain plug holding up? Also did you just tighten till it was no more movement not sure how you could figure out 18 ft/lb torq

I haven't gotten under the car since this video but the oil level has been steady ever since. I figured torque from experience. With a short handled tool like the one I used it'll be harder to overtorque unless you really crank on it.

Experience haha. But seriously if you need to, buy a crowfoot wrench set which would allow you to use a standard torque wrench

Hi dude, it would really be helpful to me if you could tell me the range of motion your jack has, for example 505mm height 330mm height. I have the ramps as yours but the lip/bumper touches first before the tires and i would like to lift the car the same way you have. I don't want to purchase a jack which won't lift the vehicle high enough for the ramps not to fit. Again would appreciate the most if you let me know 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

How did you measure the 18 ft/lbs of torque on the valve installation?

I just guesstimated. Use a short handled wrench and it'll be harder to overtorque it.

Hi good video ! I have Accord 2018 sport turbo . I relly don’t know which brand of oil is good for my car . Is mobil 1 afe 0w20 works good in your car ? I read on internet that tgdi cars need special oil . Is it true ? Thank you !

Hey Roman, the car is running great. That is the first I've heard of that requirement of special oil. I don't believe it to be true otherwise I'm sure Mobil 1 would have a special oil for that specific application.

Thanks! I did it at 10% life indicated by Maintenance Minder, for me was at around 9k miles. It varies depending on driving habits.

@@drepop803 yep. People have different opinions about when the first change should happen. I'll follow Honda's advice and leave the "first fill" oil in until the computer says so. The assembly lube mixes with the oil and helps with break in. My car is still fine at 23k miles today, no oil burning issues.

I paid 2500 in additional accessories and protection plans but this was in February 2018. You can find MSRP deals much easier these days, just shop around and be prepared to shop out of state of necessary! Good luck.

Be careful, some dealerships will void your warranty if something comes up with the car. They’ll say since you did your oil yourself they’ll charge you. Happened to a friend of mine.

@@SubaruRSFan Thanks but I have faith in Honda she won't let me down been driving Honda for last 7 years no problems at all plus my Accord that I haven't serviced since purchase 6 years ago it's my daily driver I'm getting over 102 miles per 10 litres of fuel! And I've battered that car she is sound mechanically as long the car is fine for first 10k witch my CTR it should be fine for next 100k Honda does have some of the best engineering on this planet!

Nice vid thanks, but be careful!!! I've had those rhino style ramps collapse once, I believe it was a 2nd-gen CR-V. It's tough watching with the car only on the rams in the background. Perhaps it was only because I've seen them fail. Happened when someone leaned on the front fender, so there was suddenly a little lateral force as well as mostly downward. Crunch. Perhaps they had it out for me. t(-_-t) 2-ton jack stands are not expensive from harbor freight though just sayin.

Usually I PUNCH A HOLE on the Bottom of the OIL FILTER to let the oil DRAIN. Then UNSCREW IT… less MESS !

Rhino ramps! They're available at any parts store like pep boys. However they're too tall for type Rs.. so you can use em like I did in the video.

I don't use anything fancy, just whatever has a rebate or sale from a big name brand like Pennzoil, mobil 1, Castrol, or Valvoline, etc. I use 0w-20

You say tighten to 18 ft.-lbs. but don't use a torque wrench. Maybe you have perfect torque perception like some musicians have perfect pitch, but I'm guessing most people don't.

You can use a crows foot wrench to attach to standard torque wrenches. The valve has a softer gasket to also allow a certain degree of movement for positioning the lever

There's nothing wrong with using another high-quality filter (same goes for the oil itself). Just be sure to buy a major brand, not some cheapo dollar store type thing.
