Ppl on the show's subreddit used Nigel's critiques for this dance as an example of him being a creep on the show. All he said was that her hair covered her eyes and therefore he didn't feel the full power and emotion of the routine, how is that a creepy thing to say? That is a reach for sure!

I'd forgotten this was Travis's first choreography! Wow! They danced beautifully with good chemistry. This is precisely what is missing from season 18--enough time to see the dancers in rehearsal and then on stage! This was so enjoyable!

Kayla's acting is what really sold this. She was just so believable. So vulnerable. I read the fear and desperation and grief and helplessness on her face and in her body. She just blew me away with this.

A friend of mine sent me a shadow dance from a French tv show (amazing piece of art btw! 😩) and it instantly made me think of this piece. The fact that it’s 2024 and I’m STILL thinking about this one dance speaks volumes!!!! My favorite dance in SYTYCD history. But rewatching the commentary is disappointing. There is nothing to critique here. This piece was flawless and heartbreaking!!! 😢
