You have to brace it in the middle. The log was pinching the saw as you cut through.

First time seeing your channel. I have the larger version of the Skyemac stove. Great product, especially for the money. Great review! Love the area you're in. I'll be tuning in more often!

Great first spoon. What I like to do is leave a "handle" piece hanging off the bowl end while you work it then cut it off and clean it up at the end. It makes it easier to work the bowl from all sides.
@BDLOutdoors-pj1mv9 ай бұрын
Good tip. The other thing that I learned from this first time experience is that I made the bowl way too deep. It's so deep that it is actually quite difficult to eat with. But that's ok. I've been using it as a cooking/serving utensil!
@AdamsOutdoorsAdventures9 ай бұрын
@@BDLOutdoors-pj1mv yea, some of my first were too deep too. In real use, I just make more of a down and dirty small flat spatula looking thing and call it good:) It's fun to carve spoons but not when you forget a spork and want to eat. When hungry, they take way less time🤣

It's awesome to see the kids involved and learning skills so early. I think I'd poke a hole because if it was completely sealed and got heated it may explode from expanding hot air now if air was able to leak out just a bit you would probably be ok. I wasn't aware denim was better thanks for that tip. Excellent Job

Years ago in boy scouts we learned to lash- it was pretty epic. We built this tower that was probably 20 feet tall and climbed to the top of it. It was leaning over and pretty sketchy but hell a bunch of teenagers built it! Im sure no one would ever be allowed to do that kind of stuff these days...Keep up the good work man!

I hike that area at least once a week. I always let friends and family know what Im doing and check back in. The windsock is for launching paragliders. Best to have a piece on your hip for the lions.

I like to come to this area at least once a week as well! A while back I saw a paraglider after he landed in the clearing to the west of the parking lot. Seems like that would be crazy scary fun!
