Hopkins is an immersive actor. He inhabits the characters he plays. In " Remains of the Day, " he IS Mr. Stevens. In " The Father, " he IS Anthony. He is a true thespian of the highest order.

Ralph was muscular in the movie. After watching Schindler's List. I relieved to see he trained for the part. Hard to do. He is really big in the book.

At 2:48, it looks like Dolarhyde quoted passages from The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath when Esther is describing her first experience with electroshock therapy "Doctor Gordon was fitting two metal plates on either side of my head. He buckled them into place witt a strap that dented my forehead, and gave me a wire to bite" and her observing another patient repeatedly shouting "I'm going to jump out the window"

Amazing that 3 of the main characters were Americans played by British born actors, ie Anthony Hopkins, Ralph Fiennes and Emily Watson.

The reason people like him is because he always seems to be in such control. In a world wear people feel disrespected, powerless, invisible, and manipulated, it’s fun to watch a character who’s mind is so powerful that every single person who interacts with him is afraid and he commands respect and fear even while he is in captivity. The other characters have a lot of different views and perspectives on him, but one thing nobody does is take him lightly… the man is estimated to have an intelligence equal with Stephen Hawking, and in this cinematic universe, he’s the most dangerous man on the face of the earth.

Actually, I was doing some research into nazi hypnosis methods , I read I nthe archives that sometimes the nazis used hexo-barbital to induce hypnotic suggestion (In that Aldous Huxley way, I suppose) I should mention just as an aside that medical hypnosis is rarely practised in a recreational context and frankly even adventurous synthetics might be anathamaeic to the general party. People under suspicion of stockpiling nazi hypnotics might be *bloc dentists* especially Dr Flimsy ID from country nowhere. It's definitely more interrogatory than hallucinogenic. Most recent examples occur within Jihad , suspects display subliminal verbal and other audio triggers and complain of amnesia. What I can't isolate is *where* the jihadis are being programmed- I saw a studio that looked like a pop-christian church in Kisangani called Hypnose but basically it might be like the old Saddam Hussein go which nobody saw and no one could stop. That was not quite the Spanish Casual Chat. I'm not happy with the casual use of subliminal triggers-it very much might derail lie detectors. Please be advised, there are specific rituals of self harm the hypnotised jihadis usually display when they're being psychologically stressed by a subliminal trigger . They might be shouting over voices in their heads or trying to over compensate

The "Red Dragon" is a Classical Mahjong 🀄 tile from an ancient Chinese casino game. Known to be favoured of grandmothers. In this instance it represents the monster of communism,of anonymity and identical manufacture. If you knew the net number of batches you might catch your dodgy photos by counting what number they should reel out of the machine. Especially since it seems poor Reba is blind. You know there was an article about fraud at Fujimoto ,the most expensive polaroid knock off on the market. Seems they've lost some money and some postmaster were erroneously blamed. Some of them died. There are three dragons in the classical Mahjong. White (or blank tile) (that's usually a cloud of smoke) and green, (which is usually Tea)
