My first tattoo!

Just a short clip of me getting my first tattoo. First part is him making the first strokes and my reaction to it. Second is closer up of him doing some outlining. Then at the end is a picture of the finished piece! Took about 1 hr 45 mins to complete. Funnily enough, the beginning didn't hurt very much at all, but about an half an hour in (when he was doing the outlining on the higher parts) to the end, definite ouch!!!!! Done at Incognito Tattoo in Pasadena, CA by the very talented Tyler Borich, who is now at American Electric Tattoo in Los Angeles, CA. It is not flash. I drew a design up first and gave it to the artist. He changed it around some but my original design consisted of forget-me-not flowers (the blue ones), those red and yellow flowers, tendrils, and vine leaves.

i have a chest tattoo and a tattoo on my foot;; im thinking of getting a tattoo on my calf;; on a scale of 1-10, what would you rate the pain of the most painful part of the tattooing process?

compared to the pain of getting your side tattooed how bad? i got my entire right side done to my hip as my first and im thinking calfs for second/third?

About how much did it cost? I am looking at getting a black and white tattoo on my right calf so I'm looking for advice.

That is a pretty tattoo..I just got one of two feathers on my right calf on the side last thursday :)

I just got my first tattoo today (on my calf). I had the same experience (the first half hour or 45 mins wasn't too bad but after it was getting pretty bad. I had to grip my phone and was wincing in pain). The thing is I've heard that calf tattoos are one of the least painful. So I'm wondering do I just have a low pain tolerance or what? I have fairly muscular calves because I walk a lot and stand on my feet so maybe that's why it hurt? It was black and white and a lot of line work. I believe it was probably around an hour and a half of line work and around an hour of shading. There were a few parts that didn't hurt at all but because it was a lot of line work it would be painless in one spot and a cm away would hurt like hell. Your tattoo is very pretty btw
