I probably should do a more thorough cleaning of my entire machine as shown here. My problem is always a failed drain pump after a couple of years (I believe I'm on my third one). The way I replace a drain pump is to strap a hand truck to the back of the machine and lay the machine on its back. Then I go in through the bottom of the machine to do the work. Drain pumps are about $25. A lot of lint can be expelled by using washer cleaning tablets along with extra hot water, as well as some doses of Spray and Wash in the soap dispenser. Cat hair is a killer.

Slightly off topic, but important info: So, it's 10 years later and I came upon this video while searching for a solution for an acquaintance who is having an issue with a very similar machine. This isn't the issue she's having though, but I still watched this (after watching part 1, too 😊). There's just one comment I want to make - and I hope this guy sees it (and anyone else who may need to know)... Many appliances of all types have holes in places where they don't seem to be needed for anything (no wires, tubes, or hoses go through them). You can see one to the left of the large opening in the uncovered back of this machine. Those "unnecessary" holes are not to make the shell lighter or anything like that. They are specifically placed in areas where one would need to reach in with a screwdriver (or other tool) to reach a fastener that would otherwise be difficult to reach without the hole placed there. It's part of the engineering design. You'll find these access holes in gadgets of all kinds. I hope someone finds this info useful ☺️

That is the story of solar energy period. It is dispersed. One could build massive solar stills like they do green houses but you would have to allow for mechanized salt harvesting. Certainly worth looking at.

Today, I took apart my washer-dryer again to clean the ventilation duct. I believe the reason why no lint filter was installed is due to the risk of fire. Two years ago, the gasket on my LG was also damaged and had to be replaced. A hole had burned into the gasket because the heat couldn’t circulate through the clogged ventilation duct and built up at the front. Luckily, nothing serious happened. I’ve been considering designing a lint filter myself and printing it with my 3D printer, but I’m a bit concerned about potential heat buildup.

I drive a 28 ft class B plus on E450 chassis V10 towing a Ford Ranger staying about 62-65 mph but never pushing it hard on highway. It is about 1500 under max weight loaded. My overdrive really shift down unless extream incline. I always track my mileage and gas Everytime we travel. On average I get 11 mpg on windy or hilly areas 9.5 It you stay in right lane light footing it at 62 you can increase mpg. But A class your lucky to get 8 😢

Not true about not getting to see the slab with Home Depot. HD uses local businesses to source slabs and customers are encouraged to go to the fabricator to view and select the slabs for their projects. The fabricator will tag the slab for you.

Here's an idea stop making the video unless you know what you're doing and watch a KZbin video about how to work on Tundra brakes. Even all your viewers know it's in the back. I mean good on you for doing your own stuff and trying to help people but you're actually only wasting people's time. Best of luck to you brother.

Thank you… you should make a video about making the older units like this one to operate during a power outage, with the jumper. All the videos on KZbin only show how to install batteries to the newer models to get them working during a power outage. Nothing on older pilot light style gas fireplaces. Our power will be out for 10 hours and the temperature is -6F. That jumper that you showed, opened the valve and allowed my main gas valve to open. Nobody is showing folks how to open the main valve when the switch on the wall is dead. This video helped provide heat to my home, and may have saved my water pipes. Fingers crossed. Big thank you…..
@Graybeard_ Жыл бұрын
I think I'm going to have to replace the gas valve on mine. I have struggled to keep my freestanding gas fireplace running for the last 18 years (very similar to yours, except mine is freestanding, so easier to work on). I have kept it limping along by cleaning it every year, fiddling with it, hoping and getting lucky. Last year I replaced the entire thermocouple/thermopile assembly unit, and it worked all winter. Note: I did get my thermocouple/thermopile assembly unit from Amazon, so that could be the issue. I also replaced the switch which seemed to help one year. This winter, when we had our first cold snap (-34C outside right now), I cleaned it all out, but have not gotten it running after three days of working on it. I can get the pilot to light, but as soon as I release the push and hold pilot nob, the pilot goes out. I have also changed out my propane regulator (I own four of them), but nothing is working. I also put my MAPP gas torch on the thermopile/couple to see if one or both was weak. I'm wondering now if the valve has always been faulty (buggy) without completely failing. I love the stove when it's working, as it puts out a massive amount of heat, and has a top that I can cook on in a pinch. But it is a royal pain to keep running. The valve unit is $140 (US), but a new stove is $2,500. I wish there was a way to check the valve unit before I replace it, but I haven't found anyone online who demonstrates how to test the valve unit.
