I flew air Canada haha but we had a lot of issues and delays with them (they even lost my luggage for 3days) so I don’t recommend. I don’t have measurements but it’s standard carryon size, the carryon is from calpak

Honestly I think it depends on personal needs/preferences - I use it to edit videos & drawing so I prefer the bigger screen but the 11in imo is the perfect size for travel, daily note taking, streaming etc.

did you do any inter-city travel while in japan? if so do you just book a new hotel at the new destination or did you keep the same hotel for two weeks but book another one for a day trip and then come back to the same one? did you have to book the hotels in advance or would it be simple to try to find one once you arrive if you choose to do a day trip? do you have any recommendations for places to go for day or weekend trips? i really want to take advantage of their rail system and visit both the city and beautiful nature spots

For day trips we’d just keep the same hotel simply because it’s ways easier but if we’re going somewhere further (e.g. Kyoto/osaka) and will stay the night/multiple nights we’d look into shipping our luggages directly to our next hotel (many hotels & tourist info centers have that service and can help coordinate!) With the tourism boom in Japan, I definitely recommend booking all your accommodations in advance because it will be very costly and sometimes even hard to find a place last minute. For day trips near Tokyo I definitely recommend kamakura! I have a video up on it and it’s hands down my favorite day trip spot!

Many place have pictures and eng on their menus, u can also show them pics of what u would like to order and they should be able to accommodate! Many places are also adopting self ordering kiosks that supports multiple languages so it shouldn’t be difficult to order!

I've been to onsens in 46 out of Japan's 47 prefectures. La Qua by the Tokyo Dome was by far the worst one. Terrible service, nearly idiotic. Double standards, second class treatment to gaijin. Strongly recommend to stay away from it.

Which DJI Osmo Pocket was that? And does it video good in low light in Japan? Are there settings I should apply for that?

That was the first gen osmo pocket! I’d say it’s decent but I recently got the new osmo pocket 3 which has a low light setting that works so well! Highly recommend getting the new 3rd gen instead!

Might want to mention there's an onsen on the 12th floor of Haneda Garden, which is attached to Haneda Airport. Entrance is 4800 yen for non hotel guests, and it is open 24 hours. There are outdoor baths on the roof. I am planning on staying at the airport from when my flight arrives near midnight until the trains start up in the morning, so spending the night in the onsen is one option. Apparently for those with tattoos they sell stickers to put over them.. 😂
