Any recommendations on pumps? I keep burning pumps out practically monthly.
@completegrowing54275 ай бұрын
All pumps use basically the same parts. I,m still using the same one after 5 years. Dirty water? Hard water? Algae? Try some bleach or H2O2 in the water.

Great video, where did you buy the pads? Can you pin a post ? I saw multiple people ask this question. Also you said use h202 to help keep clean . What ratio of that per gallon?
@completegrowing54275 ай бұрын
You can buy the pads online "ZORO". The H2O2 ratio is 1/8 cup of 30% per gallon. Thanks

So patasum nitrate, ,? By it self or are you adding it to the mix w h2o2? I remember that some chemicals react badly with others? Im guessing that this isn't the case here??

amazing work i did the same system, just with other manualy tools wich i found out. the plants, tomte cucumber, ... did perfect .but at the end i got root rot ,i couldn t avoid that,i tryed every singel solution,but it did not work.the system was installed in Denmark under my house in my cellar .i changed the nutrution solution befor time because it becom dirty smell bad .changed collor.but i does not work, i used artificial light,metal hard, because no light in cellar i got some tomate and cucumber ..but the root rot won t stop. i used a kind of sterilisation with oxygen water following a special process, but no success. i stoped the system,i want to start again but root rot damage my will. do you have any idea .thanks. its amazing.

You probably only have to water less to let your grow media breath a little. I am only watering, with a timer, 1 time a day for 15 minutes. Will water more often as plants grow and weather warms. You can also add H2O2 into your nutrient solution or even pour directly onto the root areas of your plants.

I put my fabric buckets in a boot tray that I got at Lowes for around $10. So far I'm really impressed by fabric buckets. They also work well with watering spikes or "olla" type irrigation.

i have a weird hoa and i can't have anything on the ground to catch the water from my grow bags so i developed a semi self-wicking system to prevent moisture & nutrient loss from my plants. i have discovered aluminum foil dutch oven liners. they go into the bottom of my bags filled with coco coir with a pvc pipe exposed at the top. i don't need to worry about watering during the throes of ridiculous heat waves. i made the watering pipes tall enough that there is no bending over now and my coco coir doesn't become hydrophobic when the heat gets extreme.

great videos, great hydroponic systems. I built a system with perlite for my NFT system. Tomato growth is faster and better with perlite. I have still one question. How often and how long does the pump run. The perlite retains water, which means that you have to water a lot less.
@randyplatow2643 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! In the buckets with perlite we water for 15 minutes 3-6 times a day depending on plant size and temperature. If the NFT system is shallow, probably double that.
