Hi Lawrence. I'm a new subscriber and came from Average Dad. I have a question regarding video output. Have you tried connecting your Mate XT using a USB-C to HDMI cable? Does it mirror the screen only or is there something like Desktop mode option? Reason is, I saw another Huawei phone using EMUI.

Hi, your sub is so appreciated! And thank you average dad also! Regarding USB to hdmi I haven't tried that, and I didn't find desktop mode at all, I looked, I couldn't keep that juggernaut of a phone as it's just too expensive. It's a great phone but software needs work and the chipset just isn't powerful enough. Amazing battery life though

@lawrencetq5689 Thanks for the reply. Did you sell the phone yet or you looking to sell it? I have a buyer interested, if you are selling. As far as me, I already ordered the phone and hopefully it suits my needs. For heavy loads, I plan to use the phone and remote desktop access my home's 2 gigabit net connection to a server. So a slower chip likely won't make a difference using it this way. Anyways, let me know if you're selling it or already have. Thanks again, - Steven

@@lawrencetq5689 3 pro 1tb , i have 2 of them both are on 5g 600 mbs max speed , both have max 5 hours sot , i had OnePlus open before but the battery life was awful pff max 4 hours / 3.5 at times , my phones are always in use

No. This thing surprised me. Over 7 hours full screen for me. It'll be different for all. Hardly have it folded up. I didn't expect that good a battery life. It's got it's difficulties. Software needs polishing.

Z Fold 6 looks better, has spen support and better multitasking capabilities - but having both phones, I find myself using the Pixel 9 pro fold more. I like the photos better and the wider cover display offers a 2 phone experience paired with the big beautiful inner display.

Hey. All apps except banking apps are working. Uk networks working without problems. Android auto isn't working. 9 out 10 Android apps should work but for how long who knows

It's looking like it won't support any android apps. No idea yet on what the micro G developers will do about this. Sad times if true. Sigh

The registration isn't working. It says I should use the official version, but I'm already using the official version (loaded from the WhatsApp website). Do you use whatsapp? Does it work for you?

Could you please check what the Stylus menu on the Accesibility settings does? I suspect the phone might be compatible with the Huawei M-Pen 2s (the same used on the Mate X5 and the Xs2), but nobody has tried it so far.

The stylus menu, when you enter it, simply allows you to switch stylus option on or off. Wish I had one to test it

with nations hiding viruses in Linux to get access to your computer and other nations planting bombs for their own political reasons, you willing press a few buttons and where it says you don't want to give information you really think huawei is honouring those? they even make their own silicon so you can hide viruses using hardware and don't even need software, heck you can hide it in software since they own it too lol now also because of AI they can keep tabs on everyone without putting in so much effort. man 100% they've got a file on you and collecting lots of stuff, and they are listening to you when they want. If in the future they have a war , they'll use this. maybe not now but in 5 years from now like the pager explosions. I wouldn't trust them with my data
