Thank you for watching. This one is a bit challenging. You need a modified version of Windows 11 installation because most B590 models don't have TPM module on the MBO. This is a prerequisite of Windows 11. My channel is mostly about laptop and hardware nowdays.

You are welcome. Thank you for watching. Compare the hardware of the two models side by side? CPU, MBO the same? It should work also then. But you never know 100% with RAM modules. They could be faulty brand new coming from the factory.

Hello. Nothing happens to your actual data on your hard drive. You just reset the setting of your BIOS/UEFI and motherboard.

Thanks for the video, i have the same model, how did you know which battery was failing? Somehow looked at some identifier you found from running a command in OS, and then found it on the battery? Did you end up replacing the battery, if yes, where did you get the battery from? Thanks

Thank you for watching. I opened the laptop and disconnected one battery. Then I plugged in the charger and started Windows and noticed that the good battery was charging observing the battery icon in the taskbar. Owner of the laptop didn't want to replace the second battery that failed. You can get the batteries from Amazon links I put in the description box below the video. Or just contact Lenovo dealership or service in your country. Send them an email.

@@smooth.IT.operator Actually not. I managed to replace the battery but the computer would not run even plugged in. Upon investigation I found I had mangled the end of the flat cable from the touch pad. Now I can't find a replacement.

@@ramtek2702 Sorry to hear it. It could be challenging to find spare parts, maybe even used ones on Ebay, Amazon or Ali? You should be able to run your laptop without the touchpad plugged into the MBO I believe so your issue of laptop not starting might be deeper than that.

@@smooth.IT.operator I've already come up empty on all of your suggestions, but thanks anyway. What I suspect is the mangled contacts on the cable caused a short in the logic preventing startup. I will try running without a cable to see if I destroyed the logic permanently. I've done quite a lot of electronic assembly like this and that is the poorest style cable termination/assembly I've seen. Very easily damaged without knowing it.

Thank you for watching and commenting. If the battery is stuck, use a plastic pry tool to gently lift it from the compartment. Start from one corner and slowly work your way around the battery to loosen it.

Thank you for this. I have 786 GB storage available and the system is slow. Tried everything. I use to study via websites. I have 4 GB RAM tgought it would be enough. Thinking of upgrading RAM as task manager shows 81% memory used when I have just website and PDFs opened. Haven't upgraded RAM and SDD storage yet. Thank you again. Open to any suggestions.

​@@SGupta-y3f You are welcome. If storage is low, try getting and installing 500GB or 1000GB m.2 SSD NVMe size 2242 drive (blue padding on it in the video). You will also have to reinstall Windows on this new drive. Upgrade the RAM like in the video. I put buying recommendations from Amazon in the description box below the video. Wish you success and that you learn new skills.

Thank you for watching. This I found on Lenovo forum: "Based on specs, for models with 4GB onboard, the maximum memory capacity would be 12GB, while the 16GB is applicable to those with 8GB onboard, and this should increase the usable RAM"

@@smooth.IT.operator well i had a break and did some research and use this command in cmd "wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices" it show that 16gb max and there are 2slots so max 8gb per slot you are right thank you again brother and well said that 8gb soldered may support 16gb stick.thanks again

@@ArthurLeywin_01 You are welcome. I sometimes use this command also but the Powershell version (Get-CimInstance -ClassName Win32_PhysicalMemoryArray | Select-Object MaxCapacity - I then devide the amount by nubmer 1024 two times). You have 8GB soldered onboard with your Lenovo model?

i atempted this on this exact same model and windows cant seem to detect the nvme disc... i used a full lenght nvme the same you would use on a desktop any suggestions? i checked the bios and everything there seems to be no sign of this disc anyware

i probably didn't press the nvme deep enough in the socket.. after removing it and placing it again everything was fine and i was able to partition it properly Thank you for the reply anyway!

@@mustafahayriacikgoz6265 They are separate pieces of hardware obviously so you will see two SSD disks in Windows also. They are not paired or in a RAID configuration. You have OS SSD and additional SSD, both of them fast NVMe PCIe Gen4.

You simply plug in the AC cable and it works even if both internal batteries are removed. My laptop didn't work in this video because of faulty battery which even prevented the other battery from charging. So both batteries empty all the time.
