When torqueing my 19mm bolt, the lock washer sheared off. There is another KZbin channel showing the installation and theirs did the exact same thing. You guys need better locking washers, or at least send replacements. Also, do I need to redo all of the bolts or can I finish the job now and simply replace the 19mm bolt when adding the new locking washer on?

its cool if you have a complicated system and need to run everything to one location. But, there are simpler ways to wire up a vehicle and its accessories these days. When it was invented years ago, sure it was awesome. but the new systems dont need all of that.

safety red is the international official color of a certified recovery point. So we only offer them in this color. We have had customers lightly scuff them and paint them to their own color though!

I have a sway bar drop kit since I have a lift. Would I be deleting that for this since the recovery point is skinnier than the drop kit or am I to install the drop over the recovery?

You will bolt the recovery point down with the sway bar relocate over it.

Thank you for such an informative video. I’ve only been to Uwharrie twice and have stayed away from The Three D’s with my truck. It’s a full size truck on 33’s and I think maybe it can make it up this using the easy line. Its long wheelbase will be the death of me though. Haha. Hoping to make it back out there soon and will definitely watch this again before going.

Yeah would be very very tight in the lower section for a full size truck these days. You could do dutch john these days.

Left arm is actually stronger. Right arm has nerve and tendon damage from injuries from the Army. The tattoos hide most of the scars.

My kit arrived today and I just finished installing it. I used a 7/16” installers drill bit for drilling the hole on the drivers side. The 12” length of the bit allows for a straight shot up making drilling easier. The 2 lock washer for the largest diameter bolts opened up when torquing the fasteners down. I replaced them & all was good. I sprayed Fluid Film on everything just in case they salt the roads this winter.. Overall I’m very happy with the Recovery Points. I would like to see some heavier “L9”or Cat style flat washers for the largest bolts as the supplied ones really dished when torquing them down.. Thank you for sharing this helpful video.
