This is the best Daniel / Uwharrie video in general that I’ve seen. Nice job Apex.

I remember running this in my CJ-5 with lockers back in the late 90's and it being a piece of cake. NO MORE! That's a serious gate keeper on the front side. The GX 470 will hit all the "D" trails except Daniel. Great video, Josh.

yeah! I remember hitting it with my truck in HS. the ledge has grown a few feet since then and the "second Ledge" has changed alot too

Great video. Very good walk-through. Also, one of my favorite trails on the East Coast.

Yeah its a good OHV area in whole for sure. Gets a little small fast though if you go alot for the year. We try to limit it to just a handful of times a year.

Thank you for such an informative video. I’ve only been to Uwharrie twice and have stayed away from The Three D’s with my truck. It’s a full size truck on 33’s and I think maybe it can make it up this using the easy line. Its long wheelbase will be the death of me though. Haha. Hoping to make it back out there soon and will definitely watch this again before going.
@ApexOverland3 ай бұрын
Yeah would be very very tight in the lower section for a full size truck these days. You could do dutch john these days.
@DerkJester3 ай бұрын
@@ApexOverland thank you for the advice. I’m actually on my way there now. Haha. I’ll stay away from Daniel and try Dutch John instead.

@@ApexOverland okay, long day but just got home from the trails. Dutch John was an absolute blast! Truly sketchy on 33’s with a full size truck. 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab. Thank goodness it’s not long bed. 😂 it was a challenge but definitely a great trip.

I just did this trail yesterday in my stock max tow gladiator. First time off roading. It was fun. I do have 285/75 tires and rocker guards.

@@TT300zdriver Yeah, I get it though. The erosion gets bad and they need to mitigate it. Unfortunatly, they make the trails flat roads to make it easy.

Don’t be a goober. If people want to run the optional line they can. If they run a stock car and get halfway up and realized they made a mistake, the optional or side lines are perfectly acceptable. When we start gate keeping our hobbies, it means less people, less money, less trail and product development
@ApexOverland7 ай бұрын
That's not an "optional line" that's off the trail. The Forrest service does not want people to drive off the trail. So, stay on the trail.
