I was repeatedly butting heads with support tickets, and this video inadvertently informed me what to do: I was able to lower the desk which had previously been lopsided, by first turning it upside down, and then turning it right back up, and then pressing and holding down the downward pointing button. Once it finally came down, the error code was still on, and the desk was not going back up. I was stuck on this issue for a day, and support was no help. This clip informed me to unplug, wait, repug in, and then wait) after the error code forced me to lower the table to its lowest setting). It's working fine now.

If only it were as easy as the video made it seem. My chair is ~3 years old at this point and started to sink, oh I can change out the lift, it looks so easy and its cheap I thought. No. Its a pain! I was able to get it out of the wheel base fairly easily but it was so stuck to the underside of the chair nothing worked. pipe wrench and plenty of lube and it simply wouldn't budge. I finally got out the power tools and hacked it off.

4 years after this video was published, and the instructions are still terrible. Aside from trying to line the holes up, which was a massive pain, none of the parts are labeled except for the 3 VISIBLY DIFFERENT legs. I'm hoping this desk works well, but at this point I don't think I'll be buying from here again. Screws/bolts are labeled Y and Y1, V and V1, etc, which leads to using the wrong screws/bolts and having to backtrack. Add to this the incredibly frustrating lack of detail in the instructions and images, and you're left with a very sour taste in your mouth. For around $1,200, this is ridiculous. Do better, Autonomous.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to Autonomous! We apologize for the issues with the assembly instructions. We understand the frustration caused and have taken note of your concerns. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working on improving the instruction manual. Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance, we'd be happy to help.

This chair is hands down the BEST chair I've owned, in almost 30 years of sitting in office chairs. Just wish it would go up higher for those of us who are short and need to reach desks made for 6-foot people.

Hi there, although we do not offer longer gas lift for the Chair Ergo, it is still possible to add a third-party one to your Autonomous Chair Ergo. We recommend are a barometric rod diameter of 50mm (2") and an open length of 270mm (10.6"). Hope it helps!

Hi. I have attempted this with no success. My keypad displays no visual unless I press the down button. I have heard no beeps of any kind. The light on my control panel shows green when everything is plugged in. What can I do to fix this issue? My desk now sits at its lowest point; it is not comfortable to use in this position.

been sitting in this chair for years and adjusting the height of the lumbar support just blew my mind lol... I somehow knew I hadn't optimized everything, but I really shouldn't have waited to figure it all out. Also: protip, yes you do have to turn that tilt tension crank A LOT of times to get from point A to point B so keep going. Also you can feel it much more obviously if the back tilt is fully unlocked (that's also in the video), but it definitely does make a small difference at extremes either way. Maybe hard to perceive, but for me turning the tension all the way up definitely helps me maintain my posture better when sitting forward a bit.

@AutonomousAI5 ай бұрын
We do not offer taller chair cylinders at the moment. However, it is possible to add a third-party gas lift to your Autonomous Chair Ergo. Regarding the recommended specs, we recommend a barometric rod diameter of 50mm (2") and an open length of 270mm (10.6").

It took 4 months for the replacement cylinder to arrive, I was sitting in a chair that wouldn't stay a the needed height for that time. I ended up taking the whole thing apart, took the cylinder apart so the legs and the base was seperate, combined vices/braces didn't work to undo the bottom, and a pipe wrench just pulled the actual gas cylendar apart. its in the trash can now as I sit in a $40 chair I had to go rush buy until I can find something better. Will not buy from them again. but if you're here, you've probably already suffered the same fate

What an absolute fucking pain in the goddamn ass that was. I got it done, but why in the name of all things holy was it that difficult? Why isn't there a better way? Why don't you spend some time in R&D fixing this problem? My chair's only like 2 years old, there's no reason I should have to pay AND do a Herculean task to fix it. Completely ridiculous
@AutonomousAI6 ай бұрын
Hi there, we're sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused! Please know that we take feedback carefully, and our product team is working on how to improve the assembly in the future. For the gas lift removal, our customers also successfully use a technique to put a piece of softwood below the cylinder, protected by a small towel as well and use the rubber mallet to hammer down the base, with medium hits, rotating the base, for 5 minutes, the base pops out. If that does not work, you can try using a hair dryer to heat the metal. This will cause the metal to expand. Hence, when it cools, the metal will contract thus allowing a little more wiggle room to pull the gas lift out.

your hand should be at least 90 degree to the desk, rise the chair height if needed, use a leg rest. put something under your laptop stand and raise your laptop screen to match your eye level

Had my large L desk in white for 2 years now. I love it, and it looks incredible still! The fact this video exists is even more reason I will continue to recommend them. After 2 years the only thing that is wrong is I accidentally scratched it once after trying to catch a dropped phone and bashing my tungsten ring against it. Truthfully no desk would have survived, could not be happier with this!

Hi Autonomous! I’m interested but have a quick question: Is this chair suitable for a small framed 4’11’’ female?
@AutonomousAI7 ай бұрын
Hi there, please check if the height of your knees matches that of the seat from the ground and the max height for the ErgoChair Pro is 20 inches. When you consider the seat width, it should be wide enough to accommodate your waist measurement, but close enough for you to make use of the armrests. The width of the seat and back of the ErgoChair Pro is 21 inches. The height of the back of the ErgoChair Pro is 22 inches. Compare it to your own back height and you’ll know whether the length of this office chair is suitable enough for you 😊

Absolute rubbish, try doing this on one year old chair where the cylinder is so deep inside and literally fused to the base. Not even a sledgehammer is going to help here.
@AutonomousAI8 ай бұрын
Hi there, thank you for reaching out to Autonomous! We would suggest you try the method of using a soft or rubber mallet to remove the gas lift from the mechanism. Our customers somehow successfully use a technique to put a piece of softwood below the cylinder, protected by a small towel as well, and use the rubber mallet to hammer down the base, with medium hits, rotating the base, for 5 minutes, the base pops out. If that does not work, you can try using a hair dryer to heat the metal up. This will cause the metal to expand. Therefore when it cools, the metal will contract thus allowing a little more wiggle room to pull the gas lift out. Here is a video we believe that will help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6PQm359Z6p7h9E
