It's likely they're keeping her to trade her in January. If they dont protect her now, Golden State could get her for nothing. If they wait until January, they at least can get something (assuming of course anyone wants her)

I was a runner behind the seeded runners for years. always wore Adidas as did many others back in the sixties,seventies, eighties, and nineties. That 'Core6' is the correct and perfect choice! They can build from there. The Champion core, is right there ready to go. They just need 2 or 3 more players to shore up what they've got. Defense against outside shooters (who can also rest Lexie Hull), and another 'BIG' (who can take the stress off of A.Boston, and can be interchanged in the front court ,as strategically as needed). The fanbase will quiet down, when the Fever are 8-0, next season, and on their way!

Likely to be traded. If she isn't protected now, they lose her to Golden State for nothing. Likely she gets traded in January once free agency opens up after the expansion draft in December. Steph White made it very clear she wants cultural fit in her team and teammates that embrace their roles

KZbin videos of Caitlyn on draft day have 5.1 million to 8 million views. Gatorade commercials on KZbin get 1 million to 3 million views. "The Shot" more millions of views. Caitlin Clark’s family watching her play 10 million views. State Farm commercials. Thousands of KZbin videos, Etc. As stupid as Nike is, their stupid is intentional, it is based on their social justice sickness. White girls can play in the WNBA but they cannot be the face of the league. Well, if those are the protected players, no one can do anything about it... they're protected. Safe to say Mitchel, Clark, Boston, and Hull are staying no matter what. Make what you will of the other 2 but I do know Smith will definitely ruin Indiana's chances against the Sun because of her relationship with Carrington.
