Could be a speed bump in the middle of the road, that part of Queens has some weird speed bumps. And a V plow will just destroy it. One of the reasons why most municipalities stop using them. 0:13 Plus they are too busy filming their own video at 0:58

Very true it melted super fast here in Pennsylvania it was all gone it about two weeks. And we are clobbered again currently and more snow keeps coming. 😂😂

Sanitation trucks were never designed to be plows .. a true plow is made by Oshkosh-V-Plow .. it would slip thru street like hot butter. ..... great video, thanks!

@@Conrailfan2596 it’s not the truck itself in my opinion, rather lack of weight and traction like a standard state DOT or local municipality truck would have. With giant spreaders full of salt/sand.

In nyc the road sometimes have these big metal plate that they use during construction or man hole sticking up so to avoid any issue they don’t place it down

if you look at the ram its at max compression, cant go any lower, until it bites in the snow and pulls the trucks suspension down, thats the problem of not using dedicated plow trucks

That okie is designed to be off the ground to move a large amount of snow, regular plows will come down after and salt spreaders. But thanks.

I am absolutely correct. A large accumulation of snow needs a larger piece of equipment to move the mass and a regular plow and spreader comes down after. Salt is useless and a regular plow cannot operate in that amount of snow.

That's a tough plow.. with all those cars on either side. He gets stuck and goes sideways it's all over. Even with chains he's still slipping everywhere

For all you N.Y. halfwits a V plow should scrape the road as well as any other. This is just an idiot doing a piss poor job with an ill equipped truck. That teuck should have the diffs & power divider locked & a body full of weight and be scraping to bare pavement then a line of tow trucks behind to haul off every car so the street can be widened curb to curb with all snow trucked off by blower and dump trucks.
