At 20:00hrs Eastern time (NY) 6th January New York has -11ºC. But most of NY state has much lower tempretures. North NY State has -27ºC. So not much point trying to drive north, NW or west. Philadelphia is much like NY NY. at -11ºC. Freezing.

To Joe Johnson, Yes I am aware a percentage use Fahrenheit in the USA. But this is an international link. IE the USA is linked to the Euronet and the World net. So my comment is on the world net and not to the USA intranet, specifically. Whilst the photography was clearly photographed in the USA. The uploaded used a non English name. IE. FotoUno. So my broadcasted comment is not specific to the USA but specificly to the far wider international audiance. Centigrade is very easy really as it is 0 to 100º where -Zero is Freezing and 100ºC is the boiling point of water. So -11º C is 11 degrees of freezing. Degrees above 100 boiling is in the steam range. Most of the Americas use Celcius (Centigrade). Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chilli, Uruguay, Belize, Guatemala, Bemuda, Jamaica the Carribean Isles, Cuba and others. They all use Metrological data. Metollogy based on Metro (Meter system (science of mesurment)). There are only three countries in the world still using the Mr. Fahrenheit's System, the USA Burma and Liberia. So the Majority of internet users use Centigrade (Metric). But you can use a formula if you need precise conversions (F=(1.8xC) + 32).

To Steve B. Yes. 3 days after the freeze once the thaw arrived the comment is about as useful as snowshoe on the beach. But on the day. Some may have been interested. Therefor I time stamed the time as clearly themometers can be compared with yoyos. But whilst a themometer reading of -27ºC (-27*1.8 + 32 = -16.6ºF) may be a trifling to you. Had you been down strem of NW NEW York State you may have found it worthwhile. But as happens a trillion times aday with metrological data about atmospheric weather conditions. What is of worth to one is of little or no worth to others. Al Roker may have meaning to you but none to me.

On that day, I drove through three states, from Queens through Jersey to Poconos, PA. Drove throughout Poconos during the day, came back in the evening. I’ve put my Outlander’s 4x4 into diff lock and didn’t get stuck even once the whole day. Came back in the evening, parked on a mountain of snow and that was that!

I remember my 3 cousins Alex, Chris & Brandon lived right across the street. We played handball all the time & there dad would join in once in a while. I miss it so much.

The weather is unpredictable. All the snow you see in the video above has melted and the days are getting a bit warmer. Have fun in New York

The plow blades on those garbage trucks suck big time. They hardly even make contact with the road
