I ordered my Simonton window on February 29, 2024. Was expecting delivery March 22nd. Then delayed until March 28th. Was notified the second week of April it was at the store ready for pick up. Went to pick it up the next Monday, April 15th, but the store said the window wasn't there and that it must be lost. Called the Simonton rep and they expedited a replacement. It was to be delivered on or about May 16th. Received a call from the store on May 2nd saying the window was in. I went to pick it up on Monday, May 6th. The window was excessively dirty/dusty and the vinyl frame was severely scratched up. Simonton shipped a $900 window with a couple pieces of cardboard on the sides of the unit held on with a bit of shrink wrap - no protection on the bottom or top. It looked to be the original window evident by the amount of dust that had settled on it and the amount of damage to the vinyl plus the dates on the sticker label. I sure hope I get an undamaged unit soon. Do better Simonton.

This is driving me nuts. I can’t find ANYTHING like my issue! My window is stuck CLOSED. It will tilt out but if I try to wiggle it out, I will rip the whole wall out!

Is there any access to the blinds itself? During the process of moving the door from one house to my house the shades came off the track. Also, one of the blinds bent.

Fat chance! I called Simonton to order parts and they sent me packing to dealers. It's been weeks and still waiting on replies from them. Sad.

I have double hung windows with an aluminum track , house was built in the 70's and these are the original windows, but I can't figure out how to pop out the window for cleaning...there is no button on the wooden frame or the aluminum track

Wrong. That whatever it is thing is not blocking the windows o have. They just won’t lower far enough to lock. Your design must be old. And my windows were designed by an idiot.

Didn't work at all. I found the one big magnet, but the other one is at the bottom of the door beyond the track. I tried using another magnet to bring it up, but it won't engage--just keeps falling to the bottom. Sorry---this was not at all helpful.

What if you have a much older sliding door than this and the screws are on the bottom sides and those screws are screwed tight?

I did this however, my right side of my blind seems to be stuck and I can't lower it down. Everytime I try to close the blinds I'm.left with this gap and the roller goes up but the blinds won't move. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I called Simonton per the video & they would not send me the part unless I filed a warranty claim. I'm sure my windows are no longer under warranty, though they were at the time the balance broke. At that time I was told I would have to work with the contractor that installed the windows to get the replacement part. I didn't have a good experience with my contractor & have instead opted to live with a broken window for many years. I tried calling them again today & received the same answer. Did those that received the part from Simonton have to file a warranty claim? I'd gladly pay for the part & shipping. Very frustrating.
