How to replace a sash with two people in and out doesn't help me. I am trying to do on 3rd floor by myself. Snapping it in without dropping it onto ground is what I need.

@bina nocht I am not sure if I understood your description 100% but I got am all done. I was able to detach the sash into the house on several windows. Replaced parts, serviced the arms, etc. On two windows, the bottom external apron was swollen that I had to carve it down with grinder and re-aligned the rail. All together I think I saved my mother a few hundos. ✌✌

@@binanocht6110 LOL. I hear ya. When I replaced these "Anderson" operators and arms, I realized they made gear with very soft metal so it would keep wearing in every 2-3 years. I told my mother once these repaired ones go bad again, we are getting rid of these old windows once and for all. Godspeed with you and your task, mate!

its the same sash if you look at either closeup when shes working on the hinge arms there is some dirt on the seal in exactly the same spot

Lol this is the worst replacement sash video possible. She takes the hardware off and takes the old window with a bad sash out of the camera and the idiot guy come around the corner with a new window. How does that show anyone how to fix a damaged window sash. Lol

The video is how to replace a sash, not how to repair a broken sash. If you want to learn how to repair a broken window sash, this is not the right video for you. If you want to learn how to replace a window sash (which is the title of the video), then this was helpful.

I have had at least 7 Ply Gem windows fail by losing the seal between the glass panes. When this happens, the glass becomes fogged or gets brown spots between the panes. The fix was to do exactly what is shown on this video, after ordering a new sash. Fortunately, Ply Gem honored their 10 year warranty and sent me new sashes. Thanks for the very helpful video. The biggest challenge is to do this 2 or more stories above the ground when it is not easy to get a helper outside.
