Would you mind to explain what you’re doing? You mention the paint but is this just acrylic paint from a craft store?? What did you mix? 🤷🏼♀️

If you don't have long fingernails (Like me), I would use a small lump of clay to the front of the cabochon for better handling.

That is what I use for regular dips but when the cab is suctioned on it is hard to lift it up unless something breaks the seal. Maybe a thin screwdriver or something similar might be an option.

Yes definitely! I seal the backs of these with resin. You could also glue them into a tray

You are most welcome! Yes you dip the flat side into the paint. Another way to do this would be to pour skins on a surface they can be peeled off once dry. Then you glue the cabs onto the skins
