This is Buddy. Thank you so very much for making this video. I have worked as an auto tech for many years. Automotive repair is basically the same except for the changes on different models. By sharing your knowledge you are helping many who look at what should be a simple job to complete it. Thank you again and may God bless.

hello there, great job you did filming all this stuff sorry for offtopic, but maybe you could help me with any advice with my dodge caliber sxt '07 so the problem is starter cranking when driving. i already diagnosed tipm unit and it is ok, so i have no clue what this is i would really appreciate for any thoughts on this cheers

That’s a very interesting malfunction I will research that problem and get back to you as soon as I have it figured out, is there any check engine lights on at this time?
@dimaakinin59916 ай бұрын
@@choices31 hello, sorry for late response, no check lights, just it is just cranks randomly while car drives, no special pattern. so, to have opportunity to use car i did install a killswitch that disconnect wire that goes from TIPM unit to starter. so, to start a car i put a killswitch on, then start a car, then i put killswitch off, and it functions normally. also, i did forget to turn killswitch off once and it cranked while going at about 40 mph, so i quickly turned the killswitch off, and it stop cranking, so i could continue driving normally. previously to stop its cranking i had to pull off negtive wire from battery. any thoughts on this? is it TIPM or PCM or else that fails? thanks for your attention

I've never replaced a starter before but using this video and my two hands, I replaced my starter all on my own. It's taken me 3 partial days to complete because of my fat hands and lack of experience but when I started it up I started crying! I'm so proud of having done it like a big girl and I'm so grateful for this video to take me through step by step. I didn't have most of the same tools but redneck ingenuity took care of that. This video is all you need!!!! Thank you so much for being my best friend for the last 3 days!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Can I replace the crash sensors with junkyard parts or do I have to use new ones? Also any tips on replacing the passenger side dashboard airbag?
@choices3111 ай бұрын
Good afternoon douglaskodaseet I apologize for the late response, yes you can use the crash sensors from the junkyard, if your vehicle was in a collision where the airbags were deployed you will also need to remove the sensors, airbag and airbag module from that same donor vehicle if that vehicle was not in a prior collision.

@choices31 Жыл бұрын
Good afternoon how are you doing, my humblest apologies for my tardy reply. The oil filter is located to the front of the oil pan, the type of engine oil and viscosity options is up to the car owner, they can check in their owners manual or local dealership for such information, this is just an how tutorial thank you for your time and patience I hope I was able to address all of your concerns have a great week.

4:39 what is the red wire u have there how can I jump it from yellow wire
@choices31 Жыл бұрын
Hi good morning, the red wire was utilized to test the starter directly from the battery, whenever you turn the car key all the way to start position, the yellow wire receives current from the starter solenoid, which then provides the starter with current it needs to start the engine. You can utilize this process to verify if your starter is good or bad.

Hi good morning Samuel I’m sorry to hear, please retract on your wiring to see if any signal or main wire was cross connected on the starter terminals (always disconnect your negative terminals prior to doing any repairs involving electrical)

Quick question ... did I miss when the antifreeze hose/line got reconnected and did it spill a lot of coolant when it got removed ?
@choices31 Жыл бұрын
Hi good morning my humblest apologies for my tardiness, the main antifreeze line was at 1:33 mark. Usually there isn’t a lot of coolant, no I didn’t lose much, however I use a plastic bag to prevent lost of coolant
