Down by the glenside, I was beset on by the ghosts of donkeys from years past, and the chorus of them had me in my cups for a good long hour. The tears be streaming down my jowls, and I took my brogues back up the trail to my donkey Rainbow in his stall, and as he chomped on a carrot, I sang him the Bold Fenian Men

Ive gone thru listening to most of your uploads, and its striking how you have this wonderful ability to play these songs that hundreds of people have been playing for decades, but make them original and unique to yourself. This ones a particularly bright example of that. I hope you continue doing what you do, and I hope a great deal more people who appreciate Irish folk and rebel music are exposed to your work.

My son (1st and so far only child) was born on the 17th of November. When I checked who he shared his birthday with 80 years before Luke came into the world ( I didn't call him Luke BTW) but what a result, herself didn't really get my delight about it all but when Gerry Cinnamon belted out a beautiful cover of the 'Night visiting song' in Malahide I think she realised what Luke was and still is to many people, this song just hits me , great version Paddy. BTW your cover of the Broad Black Brimmer is IMHO the best I've heard 🙏💯 God bless, Erin go Bragh

Brilliant! Love your rendition. Learned of Percy French’s works as my grandfather Dan sang There’s Only One Street in Dromchollogher and as I researched I learned of other of French’s songs. I heard Come Back Paddy Reilly in John Ford’s classic trilogy The Rising of The Moon, The Majesty of the Law. Your rendition brings back many fond memories. Thank you.

It's a South Armagh song but the words have got corrupted. It's the boys of Maydown (not 'the town') and Granemore. Lovely singing though
