What a great video! Thanks for putting info out there. Do you have any advice on when the line is snapping on the back cast?? Or is it a matter of getting a feel for casting?

Just a question here...I usually drift the Yough River in PA...fairly wide but shallow enough that many fisherman will wade between thigh deep and just above waist deep....this allows them to get to mid river...what is the proper etiquette, try to drift behind them into shallower water or try to get as far to the far bank as possible but in front of them? I run into this just about every trip and always want try to judge can the reach the far bank and are they fishing it...or is it best to go behind them and not mess with anything in front of them...just drifting through not anchoring up or anything.

Wish we did more floating in NZ. I once did a float trip for smallmouth near Chicago and it was such a fun experience. Hopefully one day I'll make it over that way.

I was in northern Alberta last year targeting pike but not seeing a lot of action so I started targeting the walleye. I did really well on them. They were fun on a fly too!

I got told to learn to enjoy putting the rod together at the water. That it is all apart of the sport. Ive been doing that and its crazy how quick it is now to have my rod ready. Litterally 1 min is all I need.

it seems that waders that last for several years are typically ones owned by anglers that don't fish often.
