Wow this is amazing! This would be great if this kind of plastic was used in food wraps, toy packagings, and etc. etc. Imagine how wonderful it would be! I can envision such a beautiful world! Thanks for sharing this! 💜

At this stage it wouldnt because it actually creates more issues then it solved with the current garbage processing. They dont decompose fast enough for the companies to handle them so they polute the compost created by the garbage disposal companies. Right now its better to use plastic bags and seperate them correctly then to use bio plastics and throw m in the compost. Counter intuitive but true unfortunately.

Off topic but thank you for not shouting in your KZbin videos. I've noticed so many American youtubers speak at a really loud volume and I have to turn my phone volume right down. Whereas English people have a much more considerate quieter volume.

Loving your summerhouse, where is it from? I've just got a new allotment and I've inherited a spidery old shed. It was probably lovely originally but it looks v old and it's a bit damp and run down. I'm doing it up as best as I can but I'm definitely experiencing shed envy when I see nice new ones!

Hi - the reason they don’t drill the top hole is because they don’t know which side of the downpipe the customer wants to put the water butt. I think you did great though putting it all together - instruction sheets can be less than helpful!

This stuff is coming thru my slabs and its a nightmare. Its ridiculously fast growing too. I pulled all the shoots a week ago and already some are reaching 10 inches+ already. Im wondering if presistent pulling will be enough. I have a dog and hes prone to eating grasses. So no chemicals for me. Apparently you can eventually send the evolutionary signal to it that it is being out-compete in the area by constantly pulling and it will choose to die off on its own. Or it could just be an exercise in futility.

I took over a field last year which is infested with this stuff. I kill the surface ones whenever I encounter them but I dig in and excavate when I have the time. It's a lot of work but I plan to hire some heavy machinery soon and just tear through it one day, go as deep as I need to and sift all the soil to clean it out as much as possible. Failing that I will treat the ground once with a heavy chemical solution. I hate the idea of using it as I intend to farm the field organic but there truly is no other way to ensure this stuff doesn't come back other than the industrial approach. Of course many people just harvest it for teas and such, apparently.

I was talking about the mares tail to another plot holder this week and we concluded since the stuff has survived the dinosaurs it will probably out-survive humans as well! I hope you manage to get rid of it, too much and it's an enormous pest.
