Hello Elisabeth Sorry to see your tomatoes hit by blight. I started them on the third of March in a heated propagator. In grow them in pots next to my shed, so a little bit of protection. No massive harvest but the best so far. Take care Joyce 💚👩🏻🌾🍀

So sorry about the blight. It got mine last year. This year I have a decent harvest but they are still mostly green. Distinct lack of sun to help with the ripening. At least I have some though. There's always next year, that's to good thing about gardening. Take care. Mags 🌸🌸

Thanks Mags. Onwards and upwards I guess! Someone has already recommended Fandango to me for next year (F1 but blight tolerant).

Mulch heavily with clean straw/hay. Pick off lower leaves up to at least 18". Make sure they get plenty of air circulation, as you mentioned. Do not compost. It's not worth the risk. Just burn it. Good job on your choices as well! Good luck, Hon! 😊

I definitely need to allow them more room, maybe next year I’ll learn!

My tomatoes are still ok up here in the North West.... of London, cherry tomatoes don't really suffer that badly from blight, not sure which ones you have? 🙄

Glad yours are okay. The first to get blight a few weeks ago were cherry and mini. Now it’s the whole selection (I have one patch farther down left but I don’t know for how long).
