I would definitely trust MercurySteam with a remake of Fusion, their mechanical and organic backgrounds, their handling of dark rooms and lighting, their sleek movement and their EMMI AI would literally be perfect for it.

Something people often overlook as well, is that the entire prime trilogy takes place between Metroid 1 and Metroid 2, the entire justification to extinct the Metroid species comes from the prime trilogy as the federation witnesses firsthand what even just ONE Metroid is capable of under the wrong influence (Phazon and Space Pirates).

Modern PCs are far more capable regarding connecting various controllers and shit, but still. I get what you meant. Its kinda why I don't get that Nintendo went after emulator creators/distributors. If anything emulators are always like smelling good food when you're hungry. They don't quite scratch the itch for me. I view emulators like ownable demos. Lol I know a lot of people prefer emulators for the bump in resolution and stuff, but meh... Not for me personally. The controls, no matter how many Nintendo©Switch controllers you can wirelessly connect, are always kinda borked. Just give me the OG console to play 'em on

One of my favorite games all time. The levels, music, secrets and everything. I still vividly remember my dad coming home and surprising me and my brothers with this game.

Please do not kill me. I do not like Metroid prime I got HD on the switch and I’ve tried playing it and I got to the fetch quest and I just stopped. It’s not fun for me. It was way too confusing. The controls were very clunky. I love truly, Metroid, but this just wasn’t it for meand a part of me feels really bad because I really wanna like this game and I see everyone saying it’s a master class of design and I just don’t see it. Can someone please tell me what I’m missing?

My favorite aspect about the final fight with Lavos is that the Right Bit is the *real* true Lavos. The "main body" is an intentional deception. It's the final line of defense. A creature that fed upon the planet and led evolution along the paths it desired for optimal feeding, and spent millenia tricking sentient life into serving its purposes, is *still* trying to deceive you.

Um sorry there - you had me with you on this video until you DARED to shit on the soundtrack. The music in this game, obviously, is incredible. Is DKC2 overall slightly better? Yes. But are you out of your mind? DKC3's soundtrack is steaming garbage and nothing compared with DKC1, and DKC1 is still better than tropical freeze

I get it, man. The first game I ever stayed up late enough to hear the Bus pass my house because I didn't go to school over was Majoras Mask. I hated that game for a solid year. Until I got out of Deku form and then I just kept snowballing and making it farther and farther. That game for me is what Super Metroid is to you. I could play it over and over again. Or Link to the Past.

This is my 3rd favorite Zelda game right behind Breath of the Wild and Ocarina of Time.

The most horrifying thing is the fact that Retro Studios spent 6 months of development time on the split-screen offline FPS deathmatch multiplayer on a game that came out the same day as Halo 2.

Awesome video about an awesome game. But theres some stuff I noticed: 21:16 This secret exit is actually possible with Dixie as well, you have to use the owl to get up to the portal with your helicopter jump. 22:40 The blue KONG letters are actually not required for 200% completion, all they do is make the star icon on the map blue. Even that I only recently played this game it quickly became one of my favorite games of all time. Truly a masterpiece.

I’ve never understood the argument that Twilight Princess’s art style aged poorly or looks bad/outdated. To me it looks very good. If you try to perceive it as a realistic attempt, then of course it’s going to look bad, because that not what it is. It’s a heavily stylized game just like every other Zelda. The characters look weird and unique with a much sharper and angular art-style. I’ve always thought TP looked good and think it aged well

7:30 - Here is what I don't agree. You're coming at DKC3 already being familiar with the first two. But for some people just starting sidescrollers, the first levels are supposed to be bland and straightforward (not much hiding of things). The first few levels are basically always tutorials. HOWEVER... that very first level is indeed pretty boring, but at least it's supposed to be sliiiightly boring/not hard.

Metroid prime one still scared TF out of me as a kid, nonstop anxiety, it probably had something to do with it being my first FPS.

Ye you play slow time song then time moves half as fast as normal always play this on day 1 then this lets you explore more. Didnt like 4k version of observation tower music the harpsichord sounds awful unlike this one playing which is best version. They twisted the time mechanics and added masks into dungeon requirements. I was a bit taken back playing this from ocarina its dark theme too the characters are more central than OOT ones are and more things going on including side games. MM darkness should have been more in twilight princess

That is such a good catch. Saving at the save station always felt satisfying and her animation is definitely part of the reason. Also because save stations could be a pain to get to

12:40 Actually no, is way better to shake both the wii more and nunchuck and let me explain why You will use both your hands to shake regardless of being one or two objects you're shaking, taking one hand out of the remote to shake is not optimal for most of the game so you wouldn't do that, shaking your hands independently takes way less effort and feels more natural than shaking one object with two hands Is like walking while you move your arms synchronized, it feels weird, plus with each hand shaking independently is easier to press on the analog and buttons as you shake because you will have a much better grip on the controll
