i've got an 85 iroc i'm wanting to redo the seals on. Probably going to order from Hawks first because i've heard best fromt them. but i'm curious, did you have to remove the headliner and interior siding? trying to figure out what all i need to do to prep the car - i still need to put insurance on it so i can start taking it back and forth to the shop lol

Nice car, sounds great! LOVE the 4-speed. But I HATE carb setups with an electric fuel pump and those hack-job regulators on the fenderwell. Totally unnecessary in this application. Why not put a correct 3-line mechanical pump on the engine and run a proper hard line to the carb? Looks so much better and works just fine.

What a tragedy Anthony! 😢 I am sorry for you that this happened. Thank you for a thorough video on what to do if your car experiences a similar fate! Also, at least it was not a car that sits lower to the ground!

Yeah if it got a few inches higher, a lot of electronics would be toast. No smell at all. No creatures. Most of it I removed , rinsed, and dried in the sun.

Those early GTOs like the 64 and 65 had weak third members. The old saying was, you really never romped on your GTO unless the rear diff broke. My buddy had a 64 GTO. We were out on our favorite road to race and broke the diff. We were young like 19-20. He got so pissed he threw the jack handle against the read quarter panel, and it stuck like a dart.

Wow! I didn't realize they were so bad. In my youth I broke all the 7.5" GM axles and one stock Ford 9" lol. Usually ring gears or spider/side gears.

There was NOTHING better than a mid-60's Pontiac. It goes down as the first muscle car when I was young. I know everyone has an opinion now, but in the 70's we knew GTO was the FIRST American muscle car! I owned a 66 Catalina in 1983! 389 ! Wow. Your dad is just a great gentleman. What a great video Tony ! Thank you !

I watched this again, one thing I forgot to say, is yes, the parts are getting worse and worse, and most are made in China, and the Chinese ones seem to have poor quality, and the competition that used to be there among parts makers has disappeared, so their is little incentive to outdo a competitor, and -- parts are disappearing. IMO letting lawyers run this country has ruined it. AT Least your reverse bleeder is available now for the left side

I love both because I have two 1966 Olds 442's. and a 1965 Olds 442. I used to own a 1986 cutlass, 1974 and 1976 442 with a 455 engine. On the Buick, I have a 1994 Grand Sport 2 drs and three 1987 buick Grand nationals, all three low mileage so you see I'm a big fan of Buicks and Olds 4-4-2's. Thanks for the film, I thought it was great.

I have put 2 power steering pumps, 2 alternators and 2 air conditioning compressors on my 1990 silverado this summer. Factory parts lasted 34 years and replaceme t parts don't last a month. And I buy new units not rebuilt. Where is the quality control? And parts dealers are content to give you replacement but my time, energy, and missed car shows is aggravating! I feel for you! I guess I drive my new car and sell the old one. No fun anymore.

Whenever I have a stubborn bleeder sucking in air, I apply synthetic grease around the bleeder threads. If the bleeder is opened too much then it will show many bubbles in the clear line. Today’s China made parts are disgustingly useless.
