We bluegill fish small to medium lakes in SW Michigan. I'm 5' 10" and 200lbs. Will this be good for a guy my size? Tks for posting, great review!

When he’s standing up it’s very sketchy, and he’s just trying to stand, not cast or play a fish. I have 2 of them and I’m 6’ 210# and I don’t feel stable trying to stand on it. That being said, they are good for lake fishing…if it’s calm.
@jareddavisoutdoors3908 Жыл бұрын
Very sketchy standing up 😂. I only stood once, to get a lure out a tree. I have fished calm lakes in it. But if you have room the 12t would be a better bet.

Dude, thanks for addressing the standing up issue. I'm 6'2" and 225lbs and was trying to decide on the 10 or 12 footer. I spend 95% of my time in the river and love kayak fishing and want to be able to stand up but can't in my 10 foot Perception Pescador. Thanks for the video and it looks like I'll be getting the T12.

Did the blind cause and problems with you paddling to your destination. I have the exact same kayak and was looking at doing a blind.

Never have done very well in the woods blind at duck creek. It is a cool setup and it's cool paddling out to the blind in the am darkness. Unless there are new birds that just migrated in they are too smart for those blinds. A big open hole in the woods is not natural. Add to that getting called and shot at when descending into a woods blind hole. It dont take long for the ducks to learn to avoid them.

Just came across this setup, going to be using this as a base template for my sit on top kayak. Great video!

It was a while ago you posted this video, hopefully your still tracking and answering questions, I was wondering if I'm using this more just to have fun paddle around with kids, would a kid be able to sit in one of the storage areas with a cushion pretty easily without effecting to much functionality?

Amazing video. If you switch from clousers to a pop fleye bay anchovy you will increase your strikes. In August Seagrove is black with bay anchovies belched out from Choctawhatchee. I fly fish with a 3 way wire rig and three pop fleyes and catch doubles and triples. Keeps your leader from being ground up too.
@jareddavisoutdoors39083 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome!!! Thanks! What are you catching?
@jeffleaver593 жыл бұрын
@@jareddavisoutdoors3908 Almost entirely ladyfish. Its hard to get it past them. If you can get it out further and down faster (with some weight) I've caught redfish, Spanish and sailfin cats. I foul hooked a smaller blacktip but he got off. I saw some bigger shadows, but couldn't cast far enough to then or get through the ladyfish.
@jeffleaver593 жыл бұрын
@@jareddavisoutdoors3908 btw the fly is a super simple tie. Its a white thread body, tan craft fur wing and the bay anchovy fleye sticker. I stipple the craft fur with a fluorescent green sharpie and the put a set of big eyes on with UV resin on top the printed eye on the sticker.

I am looking for a sit on top so I can take my Labradoodle with me . It looks like enough room between the legs and up front . He will be a big dog, do u think with his weight up front that will help with the paddling and such? Right now he is about 45 # looking to be about 90 # dog . What you think? ( ps I have an fs10 sit in and love it ! Just not enough for the both of us)
