Governor said no, I am going to rebuild this road to last forever! Fun fact the contractor Brass Engineering, is an indigenous construction company owned by Engr. Nweze Dave Umahi, immediate former governor of Ebonyi state and current federal Minister of Works.

Well done, Gov Otti. Abia state will now reap from the import and export activities of the Aba traders, that will generate the needed revenue for Abia state. For those critics against the air port, let Abia have what all other Eastern states have. Then later, they can build railways, monorails, inland sea routes or what ever these critics dream or want, to connect all the states. What's good for the goose is good for the gander as they say.

Where would the people farm now. The should do farming on the land please ane use the airport in Enugu
@donprinceakwaugo50724 күн бұрын
Mr advicer this is not the only land that the community have , all their farming how many State are the feeding it with , all this kidnapers hide out need to invest on ,what we need is development, not empty land for farming and criminals hide out , the same Lagos State our people's are invested billions is also people's land , the owners of the land are not hungry, the reason our people's developing over their is because of international airport , and sea port , Abians we don't need bad energy and comments on this development we have suffer enough in the hand of bad government

If the federal government is financing it, what is the worry about? Why not get what others have received for free and create Jobs for the state, moreover it’s not for the state to build industries, all a good government does is to provide the enabling environment for businesses
@Southernview3k4 күн бұрын
The Federal will finance some part while the state government will finance another part.

Gov. Otti should not borrow money to finance this project but may use delay tactics so that he will have enough money and time to advance other aspects of development. He may build it gradually for the next 5 years. Up till now, Akwaibom State are still building their airport, even though it started functioning about 12 years ago and this have boosted their IGR and airline business. Aside from boosting the IGR, Airport is also a thing of pride and value which can also be concessioned. Like Peter Mbah is doing in Enugu State. He's has been upgrading the Enugu airport in alignment with his economic policy, and have asked the federal government to hand over the airport to the State, with intension to concession it and make quick ROI, like he did with the Last Mile connection of water project in Enugu metropolis. It was concensioned for $100m. That's what stands the governor out. With the way he's handling the State, Enugu State will soon become the 2nd richest State in Nigeria. Already, Enugu State's IGR is now bigger than the entire SE States IGR put together.
@Southernview3k4 күн бұрын
If the state didn't have enough money to finance it, the best way is to borrow so that the project can be completed on time to start generating money for the state and to repay back the loan.
