@@michaelstrong722 bro air cargo is as good as sea cargo with air being faster , presently most importers prefer lagos sea port whereas ph can handle same except for the importation of cars which lagos has the monopoly . authority .

If the federal government is financing it, what is the worry about? Why not get what others have received for free and create Jobs for the state, moreover it’s not for the state to build industries, all a good government does is to provide the enabling environment for businesses
@Southernview3k23 күн бұрын
The Federal will finance some part while the state government will finance another part.

Haa haaa Bro you know our issues every ibo man is an economist politician , medical doctor , lawyer etc even without training so long as he has what looks like money in his pocket , imagine people complaining of negligence , non attention and infrastructure now preferring shops over an airport , laa hi laaa !!!

Gov. Otti should not borrow money to finance this project but may use delay tactics so that he will have enough money and time to advance other aspects of development. He may build it gradually for the next 5 years. Up till now, Akwaibom State are still building their airport, even though it started functioning about 12 years ago and this have boosted their IGR and airline business. Aside from boosting the IGR, Airport is also a thing of pride and value which can also be concessioned. Like Peter Mbah is doing in Enugu State. He's has been upgrading the Enugu airport in alignment with his economic policy, and have asked the federal government to hand over the airport to the State, with intension to concession it and make quick ROI, like he did with the Last Mile connection of water project in Enugu metropolis. It was concensioned for $100m. That's what stands the governor out. With the way he's handling the State, Enugu State will soon become the 2nd richest State in Nigeria. Already, Enugu State's IGR is now bigger than the entire SE States IGR put together.

If the state didn't have enough money to finance it, the best way is to borrow so that the project can be completed on time to start generating money for the state and to repay back the loan.

Where would the people farm now. The should do farming on the land please ane use the airport in Enugu
@donprinceakwaugo507223 күн бұрын
Mr advicer this is not the only land that the community have , all their farming how many State are the feeding it with , all this kidnapers hide out need to invest on ,what we need is development, not empty land for farming and criminals hide out , the same Lagos State our people's are invested billions is also people's land , the owners of the land are not hungry, the reason our people's developing over their is because of international airport , and sea port , Abians we don't need bad energy and comments on this development we have suffer enough in the hand of bad government

Thought people dont go to farms anymore cos of fulani herdsmen ??? Besides do we have farmers in the east ?

Please what’s the essence and viability of this airport project to Abians and Ibos in general? What’s the distance from this airport to Imo, Uyo and Port Harcourt airports, Must every state in Nigeria have its own airport? Shouldn’t been economic reasonable, to use this money being wasted in trying to build this said airport to build other productive industries that would boost the living standard of Abians and Igbo nation in general I believe Governor Oti should have known better

Military has air , land and water bro , air field is neccessary in every state , on other nearby air ports bro management style differs in every business , UCH and uni ife (OAU ) seemed too much at the time of establishment today its and advantage , if its not done we shall still complain about federal government neglecting south eastern states , lets have it like others my dear
