Really good fun. I used to throw these 60 years ago. I preferred live wood such as Hazel or Holly. Works well between 9 and 14 inches. split the narrow end about 3 inches. Cut two flights about 2 and a quarter inches long from a doubled over Cornflake packet - heart shape works quite well. Insert into slot. Bind above and below the flights. Bend out flights. Cut a slot in the arrow about 2 inches below flights sharpen the point and using fairly thick string continue as in the video. No weight necessary.

I thought it was dangerous to point a laser anywhere near your eyes?
@TechySeven Жыл бұрын
A laser, yes. A laser LENS (without the Light-Emission Device & Circuity specifically designed for the laser), no, not so much. It's still not good for the eyes to stare at a flashlight being shined through a lens, but that isn't likely to instantly damage the eye. Plus, in this particular microscope-build they're using a Phone Camera to observe the light anyway, so it's Only as bright as the phone-screen can get.

my mates dad took a pheasant straight through the eye with one. He aimed for it too. We had many long summer days and evenings throwing them in the field behind his home.

This is a very nice video, the only thing is that with that lens you don't even reach macro magnification ratio 1:1 (subject image size to real life size) ... I honestly don't know what kind of magnification you were measuring - digital zoom maybe ?

It's an error to wrap once around the arrow!!! you're maybe securing the nutch, but you loosing "spring effect", !! the more straight is the paracord the strongest you will throw your "dart-arrow" whatever you call it...The arrow will never "turn" in the air anyway, there is not enough energy for, (it's not a barrel!), and your "wings" will drive it right too....If you want it to turn, you should mount the wings differently (on the slant/bias), and they have to be tiny (not wide)...For the rest, your advices are excellents....(sorryfor my broken english, i'm a old french rocker!!!lol)
So what the hell CAN'T you do with a smartphone these days.? In 25 years from now there will be a video on how to use your smartphone to give yourself a full body health scan....🤔

Such a great idea. Weird how some people need to buy a smartphone first (as mentioned in the comments). I guess it's the age of be video. Now virtually everyone has a smartphone these days.
