Great informative vlog. Can you please tell me what sort of car you got when travelling to the airport? Does it easily fit lots of suitcases in? Never used ubers always have a hire car. Look forward to the next Florida series xx

Absolutely nothing wrong with an honest opinion Gemma. One of the reasons I love your vlogs is because you say it how it is. When I’m looking for hotel recommendations I often watch vlogs to get an idea of the room, facilities etc so you are doing a great job. The photos on websites don’t always show the true picture. That toilet flush would have made me turn straight out of the room! Keep up the good work😀

This is really helpful! We're staying for two weeks at Sapphire Falls so of course we could get the boat the the park and walk from there on a non park day, saves the cost of an Uber! Unless anyone knows a quicker way in which case please do let me know haha!

Ian - just get memory foam sketchers, I’ve been wearing them for years and really notice the difference if I try wear shoes without memory foam they feel so hard. The surf 🏄♂️ simulator looked so much fun 🤩

Ubers 100% work out cheaper across an entire trip when you take the hire charge, parking charges at both hotels and parks, petrol, tolls etc.... it tends to work out far cheaper even if taking Ubers every day.

Also if you're going to applebees, if you come out of the front surfside reception doors and turn left as if you're going to the parking lot, there is a big black gate that opens straight out onto IDrive, would've saved that initial 7 minute walk.

@@robturner4895 we were at Dockside. Yeah I know about going through the car park at Surfside. Found that out a few years ago after we got a bus to Surfside and walked all the way round 😞🤣

@@robturner4895 I think it just really depends on what you want to do on your trip. I worked out the cost for Ubers to do what we did on our first day of having the car and Ubers would have cost more than the daily car hire for the mustang and parking. If we had hired a basic standard car then Ubers would have been double the cost BUT if we were getting Ubers we wouldn’t have gone to the amount of places we did because of the cost. We like the freedom of a car. Some trips we’ve been to places which we definitely wouldn’t have gone to without a car. Short trips no car is fine. Long trips definitely would choose a car. X

@theburgesses2004 yeah I think either a villa especially a car is a must, but a ce rally located hotel even multiple journeys with uber comfort vehicles works out cheaper.

We did the airport ride there at night and it started to thunder and then lightening one of scariest things we have ever done for soaked and praying didn’t get a lightening strike on the airboat

Quick question when you say I Drive do you mean International Drive? Me & family stay a Motel at International Drive nearly around this time 19 years ago. Can’t remember the name of the Motel .

nice vlog i stayed in the ramada plaza on idrive in september awesome 2 weeks sadly British airways cancelled my flight back so ended up on american airlines the next evening to heathrow insted of gatwick but BA gave me £525 compensation plus expences which made up for it

Wow you’ve definitely opened my eyes, I’ve been 3 times and stayed in a villa and always got the 14 days ticket! But want to go with my hubby& 13 y/o( both never been before) I’ve priced it up& for us 3 staying on international dr for 2wks in school hols ( I’m TA so have to go then& we don’t drive) we were looking at approx £15,000 with spending money but will definitely re think those tickets as they are the most expensive part for us I’ve found would appreciate a vlog about non drivers and tips for getting around cheaply ❤

I’d definitely aim for end of August for slightly lower prices and look to book during the airlines sales. Ticket wise it’s so easy to just say yeah I’ll get them all and spend a fortune. Prioritise what you want to do/see and go thought different options so see which works out best price wise. Hope whenever and whatever you decide you have a wonderful trip 😃

Thanks it’s now gone from the 3 of us to potentially 9 of us! So looking at 6 br villas and now we have a driver and I have to stick to school holidays as I’m a teaching assistant I might be able to be a couple of days flexible but that’s about it thanks again x

Ahhh the airboat ride we did one too many years ago. It's fun. I got a bit of a sunburn too 😅 6 years ago we rented a Camaro I loved that car. A year later we had a Mustang. I was not a big fan of that one. Maybe you should compare next time and let me know which car wins. Great vlog as always

The thing is you don’t notice you’re getting burnt because of the wind 🫣 Fun though. Ian was like a kid with a new toy. He loves his cars. It was meant to be a dodge challenger so he was a little gutted that wasn’t available. He’ll see what we get next time 🚗

I just stay there in May and I really enjoyed it there I stayed in 101 Dalmatians preferred room ground floor I went solo and the staff went above and beyond they are all so nice

Totally agree with you about accomodation. Used to think the same, it's just a base. We had a private timeshare room booked in Vegas after disney last year. Got there and it was dirty, smelly amd the mattress and pillows were seriously stained (shouldn't have looked🧐). Was totally gross but by the time we checked in it was 1030pm and we were too tired to try and sort it out. We were up at 8am the next morning finding a hotel on the strip amd sent photos to air bnb as the owner was fobbing us off. Got a refund the next day thankfully but I wouldn't have cared. We just wanted out of there. The funny thing was, he had more positive than negative responses on his page🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🫤. Stick to what you know and love, even if it is a bit more. It definitely makes the trip having somewhere clean and nice to go back to

Oh no. That sounds awful. No one should have to deal with all of that on holiday. I’m happy to say that although he did not like the Rosens one bit that they weren’t dirty (well I wouldn’t like to imagine what’s in the 30 year old carpet but…) or at least from what we saw all was pretty clean. Just not for us. They probably deleted all the bad reviews. 😬

Great vlog guys. We stayed on Southern Dunes this year, which is right next to that Walmart and just down the road from Manny’s where we also had our best meal of the holiday, in fact, probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten.
