Lady! I just discovered your blog & channel. I would love to connect! Current EL (English Learner, formerly English as a Second Language) teacher in Virginia. I lived in Paris for 2 years during the pandemic. Looking to get back in France! My partner lives in Besançon 🩵 I got to visit there for the first time this past summer. Also formerly frequented Banyuls Sur Mer (just south of Perpignan) Lots of similar areas to you, it seems!

Hey, was it really difficult to get accommodation in France as a foreigner? Is there any help provided by the university you work for? <3
@BaguettesandBicyclettesАй бұрын
It is for sure a challenge! But having a work contract helps. They might not necessarily help you, but if they are used to hiring lecteurs, then they might have some connections for housing...

Talking over music is just noise. Pick one ...
@BaguettesandBicyclettes4 ай бұрын
Is singing over music just noise to you too? Maybe I could lower the music volume compared to my narration next time if the ratio is off, but I personally like the instrumental music combo with narration. Have a nice day 😊
@GorgieClarissa4 ай бұрын
I thought the background music was just fine. There is a little button on every video "CC" and if you push it or turn it in, it will auto generate words for those that are hard of hearing. But the music in the background wasn't overpowering her voice. Plus the video is over 2 years old, this isn't her full time job. These videos are absolutely great for someone that isn't hiring a professional film and editing crew!

It's nice that you went in Semur-en-Auxois, for most people only visit other parts of Burgundy (mainly Côte d'Or, so Dijon, Beaune, etc). There are a lot of beeautiful places in the other parts of the region (like Cormatin, les Grottes d'Azé, Solutré). In the other parts of the country... My special favorites may be Munster, in Alsace. I also loved Les Orres in the french Alps. Sampans, in Franche-Comté, was nice (close to Dole).

Bonjour! I want to be a volunteer English teacher in France. I am a retired English high school teacher, college professor, and university supervisor for student teachers. My wife Cindy and I plan on moving to France with the Long Stay Visa. We were in Ukraine last year helping a new school open in Lviv; I was Deputy Head Master. Slava Ukraine! We want to contribute in some way during our stay in France. What schools would you recommend? Merci! Dean & Cindy
@BaguettesandBicyclettes9 ай бұрын
Dear Dean and Cindy, That’s wonderful! I do not currently know of any specific schools that are looking for help. I think you could probably reach out to the académies (school districts) of the areas you are interested in and perhaps they could put you in touch with schools. If you use Facebook there is an English Teachers in France group that you could also join and ask there. Best of luck, Camden
