Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to climb up the Eiffel Tower? Here’s a timelapse of me walking up the stairs of the first two floors of la tour Eiffel ! I had some family visit me this summer and they wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower! Some say it’s better to go to the top of other monuments however, so you can have the Eiffel Tower in your view, but it’s still a fun experience going up. Other places to get a great view of the Paris skyline include Sacré -Coeur, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, the Arc de Triomphe, Tour Saint-Jaques, and the Tour Montparnasse, etc. Don’t forget to bring water and take breaks if you need them. And here is the view from the first floor. You can see the Invalides and the Tour Montparnasse in the background. Pretty cool, huh? And this is just the first floor. Let’s keep on going. Don’t worry there are elevators of course if you don’t want to walk, but tickets are cheaper if you take the stairs. That’s 10,70€ vs 17,10€ for second-floor access as of 2022 (this could change in the future). Discounted rates are available for the youth and disabled, which you can find on the www.toureiffel.paris/ website. There are a total of 1,665 stairs on the Eiffel Tower, but you can only take 674 of them up to the 2nd floor as the ones to the top are not open to the public. If you want to go to the very top you can take another lift to the highest floor and it’s more expensive of course. So let me know in the comments, would you rather take the stairs or the elevator up the Eiffel Tower? More tips: - Book in advance so you don’t have to wait longer to buy your tickets - Even if you do book in advance, you still have to wait in a different line for the time of your visit. - The stairs are less crowded than the lifts - There are toilets, restaurants, and gift shops at each level - In the summer it opens at 9 and during the rest of the year at 9h30. The lines open up 15 minutes before opening time. Feel free to leave any more tips, thoughts, or questions in the comments below!
