Words can't even describe how amazing/special/beautiful/necessary this shiur is.. I remember YY Jacobson shiur about Yaakov/Eisav and Yosef and it opened up my heart to learning again .. and still the same Torah and each year the shiurim just get better and more relevant . Thank you Rabbi YY .. your shiurim always seem to be exactly what is needed at that time. ❤❤

Around 1:16, what comes to mind is the up-bow and down-bow when playing the violin. Commonly, the down-bow is the stronger one, as it follows gravity, and the up-bow is cumbersome. Nonetheless, the down-bow naturally starts strong and gets weaker closer to the tip of the bow, and the up-bow starts weaker and gets stronger towards the nut! This I have integrated that those concepts into my teaching, with fabulous results. I call the up-bow (shov) the "creative bow stroke". How spiritual and physical principles merge, because it's all One, is just amazing!!

I learned that the purpose of painful emotions is to inform us of where we are misaligned with Hashem. In those places we are either telling ourselves stories about ourselves that aren't true, and/or we have unmet needs that Hashem wants us to fulfill. We aren't meant to stay in the pain. We need to reprogram those untrue stories that are coming from the subconscious, and/or meet the unmet needs. The subconscious doesn't really know language so well, so we have to speak to it in its language, repetitious images plus emotions that serves as evidence of the truthful self-perception. Eventually the subconscious tells the new story and healing takes place.

I am not Jewish, and admittedly I am not particularly well informed on Jewish culture/judaism, but I will say that some of the most selfless and kind people I have ever met have been Jews- people who owed me nothing at all, but still went out of their way to help. I appreciate this video, as I have learned something new. ETA: Posted the comment before finishing the entire video, and I must say this is such a beautiful message. The rabbi’s words really resonated with me about all of us having inherent value. It is easy to feel like I don’t matter. I really needed to hear this tonight… thank you.

Rabbi YY Jacobson is a genius because he's the one person in the world who "gets" the result of abandonment. ("Vayechi" He Lived)...The awesome aspect of the absurd "Information Age" is that an individual who wants to be a learner can learn.

Why do we only bless boys to be like menashe and efrayim? Women also need these messages and blessings...?

For the woman we bless in the names of sarah, rivkah, rachel and leah. Im sure that if the Rabbi gave a class on the deep blessings and powerful messages that come from these holy matriarchs the class would be double the length.

Sufficient is Allah for the entire world, and He is the best disposer of all affairs. The lies, the atrocities of human misguidance, and centuries of manipulations to conceal the Truth farther and farther away from human understanding from the time of the prophets of Almighty Allah till date have come to an end, insha"Allah.
