Hey im a new soaper here. Why are you adding citric acid to this recipe ?
@caseyrehse199722 күн бұрын
New to your channel, thank you for such an amazing video! Couple questions on the recipe: the percentage of liquid 10.5 oz is the water/ice for mixing the lye solution correct? Also can I mix color into it like from mad micas? Thank you so much!
@xdecker117928 күн бұрын
Quick question. Why do you mix the essential oils with the clay? Is there any reasoning behind that?

I think it's very good that you show your mistakes too, that was very scary. Now all of us can avoid getting acid burns. Good demonstration of why protective gear is so important...

January is that time of year when all my oils run out as well. I need to place some orders now that I have gone through the soap room and get rid of the old stuff. ❤I just made an Earl Grey Tea soap requested by my daughter. It smells amazing. You have me wanting to do a Peach Tea now. 😂
@sprinkledcleansoapery9 ай бұрын
Wholesale Supplies happened to have their oils on sale this past week. So I got a quick order in. Earl grey soap sounds amazing. Every time I hear that, I think of Star Trek. Captain Picard always drank Earl Grey Tea... Hot. Hahaha. Happy soaping. And definitely try a peach tea soap. It smells amazing!!!!!

Girl, I’m chatty and sensitive person too!!!! I was dating a guy for 2 1/2 years 10 years ago and he’s a quiet, laidback, chill type man and I’m a bouncing off the walls, goofy and extremely talkative person. One day I was being really talkative and he just looked at me and asked me if I ever stop talking. It really hurt. It’s hard to find someone who appreciates my strong personality. Ugh

I’ve been sick. So I have just been working and even then I was out almost two weeks. It was a nasty flu. I haven’t been this sick in over 20 years.
@sprinkledcleansoapery9 ай бұрын
Oh no! We all got sick before Christmas in my house. It really wiped us out. I hope you start feeling like normal again. There is definitely a nasty flu/cold strain going around this winter. I drank a lot of the Body Armour sports drinks. They are great with rehydration, without the extra salt and wild amounts of sugar. I drank them while breastfeeding, and one drink increased my supply by a few ounces. So, I figured they would be a good choice for aiding in healing while sick. I also took an elderberry and zinc supplement. That seemed to shorten the bad symptoms. Feel better! ❤️
@sarahconklin12569 ай бұрын
@@sprinkledcleansoapery i got sick right after Christmas and again after. I took zinc, vitamin C and pineapple juice but it is still hanging on! My daughter drink body armor. I may have to try it 😂

Yesterday and today I have been cleaning and reorganizing my craft room. I need to make CP soap, liquid soap, lotion and body butter over the weekend; and my craft room was a MESS! One of my daughters-in-law's asked me to "dupe" a fragrance; and she wants me to make all of the things for her. I love how that soap turned out!

Thank you! I used my soaping room as a storage room over the summer, so I had to clear it out and clean it this past weekend. It's always fun to get back to crafting and doing what you love!

melt your oils in the microwave on power level 3 for 5 minutes. It was a pH thing.
@KJ7JHN9 ай бұрын
adding water with a pH of 7 will cause the same reaction. Always add lye to the water/oil.
@sugarkanesugaringspallcsug98799 ай бұрын
No lye? I’m intrigued where’s the lye? Maybe Bastille soap doesn’t have lye.

@kendo2377 Жыл бұрын
Yeah sometimes citric acid will do that. I started mixing it into the water well in advance and I make sure its all dissolved.
