The driver's vision port plate is upside down, opening that way still blocks his vision, I built this model in 1968 and installed the vision port correctly so my driver could see lol

hello and thank you for your video, which is very informative and very useful for new people, like me, thank you. what is the cuter or the name of the tool you use with your finger to cut the tape, please? thanks again.
@Grandtank199912 күн бұрын
Whenever I use an Xacto to cut the tape along the edges even the smallest mistake leaves a cut in the plastic. Sharpie doesnt apply dark enough and looks weirdly glossy / ink-like. only way Ive been able to get even decent windows is just hand-aligning the edge of the masking tape to the edge as well as I can, and carefully brushing the paint on, almost drybrushing.

I do the same exact thing.Not a professional modeler. I don't even have a airbrush. I do hard body slot cars and so far everybody likes the end results. It is time consuming and there's times i'll dry brush before i start it. To relax my nerves lol.

CAN YOU OFFER ME SOME SUGGESTIONS ? My biggest failure in model building is installing the clear windows. What glue can I use that won't fog up the plastic? Thank you

It was a bit difficult to really see the capillary action because you kept pushing the piece off to the right out of the camera focus and into the lamp glare, but I did find the technique interesting. I would have tried to paint the whole piece first and then the raised area but this made it look real easy using the wash method. :)

if I use brown model wash instead of black wash, will the log on my tank look more realistic?

у такого метода есть недостаток. Сдвижные части фонаря любят делать хрусть в самой верхней части

Hi there, very nice video. I have a question. I did the same that you, but when I took off the masking tape (both types: regular and making for curves) the marks of the masking tape were marked on my paint job. Do you know why it happened..? Thanks for your answer.

Do you use any gloss varnish to protect the base paint layer prior to weathering? If so, what type of varnish do you recommend for oil dot filter or enamel washes? Thank you for your great videos!

im a noob but i dont see a difference between them. Sort of seems to me that model companies want to get us on the hook for stuff we dont need just to make a buck and keep us coming back for more. How do we know that all 3 tubes are not the same product, just in different tubes? I am just starting this hobby, is this hobby a money pit?

This is a great idea for the trim if you're building a Show model.. And your definitely looks great. But I don't have a ton of tape or a Air Brush.. So I just use a Black Sharpie and it comes out pretty good.

I have to be honest here - with almost sixty years of model building under my belt, that masking tape is some of the crappiest tape I've ever used. Use tape from the automotive paint jobber shop, if you want quality tape.
