It’s better to use ducking EQ, it gives you a lot more control on what frequencies you’re taking off. Pro Q works brilliantly

Not sidechaining at all. Similar end result but different way of doing it. Sidechsin uses internal routing in your DAW but this is used as an insert. In Ableton, for instance, when you try snd commit a track by Freeze/Flatten you’ll find that’s not possible with any kind of SC routing. So there’s a use case for Volume shaping.

It is no secret, it is basic sound design/synthesis. This particular method can be done with selfoscillating filters, without any whitenoise. There is even a popular modul called spectral mutiband resonator what does the same.

Right? its not like most dynamic eq plugins don't have low shelf and high shelf tilt functionality. I mean both fabfilter pro q3 and ableton's stock eq 8 have this eq shape. eq 8 in ableton the symbols that look like wishbones are the shelves, and if you want to cut more mids all you have to do is place a notch or bell curve right by where the shelf is cutting.

you would have to make the curves yourself. A plugin like this just does it for you when you turn the knobs together. also you get some added harmonics that a purely clean EQ doesnt have

i d rather have less useless plugins and do everything with less plugins as possible, pro q3 can do so many things u could use it not just for EQ. i think you waste more time adding plugins than just changing the default shape of pro q

This is all completely true. You know what good music sounds like. You can feel it. Just keep EQing, compressing, and tweaking knobs until it sounds perfect. If the instruments are in tune than you can almost anything sound quite good. Also sidechain everything.
