Thanks for the tips guys. To anyone on the fence about getting the Cableguys box set, do yourself a favour. One of the best audio manipulation, LFO design and creative plugin sets out there. It might seem a little expensive for what it is but the number of tools and hidden little tricks you can do is what outclasses other software by a mile, trust me it's worth every cent and then some. There is a reason why it's a producer 'go to' used across the industry. I would LOVE to see them use their LFO based system to do some sort of Reverb/Delay/Echo, I think they could really do some crazy shit with that. What's more, I think they could add more/different types of filters, drivers etc. imitating different industry hardware. Good times ahead for Cableguys.

@@Cableguys I was always trying to smooth curves with the shaper controls, I had no idea that I could just use the LFO shaper! Game Changing! Also, being able to copy paste wave shapes to other modules was super helpful! I could read the manual but the videos are much better!

@@dh.l7499 LFO Smooth was added in the v2.3 update along with DriveShaper 👍 DriveShaper has it set to 40% by default, which works great for general smoothing away of clicks/pops. It's at 0% in the other Shapers (for compatibility with old projects), but you can just double-click to get the 40% default value. Glad you're getting so much out of the vids!

@@Cableguys I'll give you a list of things that stood out to me, hopefully, you guys find it useful ^^ 1. The pen tools were something I never really wrapped my brain around when advertised through text, but how they worked visually really allowed me to appreciate the power they hold, making the LFO editor seem that much more powerful. 2. The selections tool was a really powerful tool which I wouldn't have known about whatsoever if I hadn't happened to demo your synth Curve2 (Which could honestly use a 3 at the end of it's name at this point ;) ) And even then I still hadn't known about the entirety of its features. something which further expanded my image of the power of the LFO editor. 3. The ability to move the entire drawing by grid spaces was also a cool thing I hadn't noticed.

The drawing works the same in all Shapers, so you can apply everything in this video to TimeShaper 👍 For a guide to which shapes create which effects in TimeShaper, see the Mini Guides: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZa7enushKx8g7s&ab_channel=Cableguys Also check out this tutorial by Dan Worrall: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6mTiniNhbaKY5Y Those videos show TimeShaper 1, but you'll get the same results in TimeShaper 2. Loving this video! :) I gave this tool a try a while ago but i missed a huge feature from it. When using time shaper for example, i wanna only use horizontal lines. Pressing the random button will go totally crazy with those lines. I asked a feature like control clicking the random button which would preserve the horizontal lines, and ctrl-shift clicking would preserve those and the timing too. Is that what version 3 maybe have? If not please include it in your next update and i'll buy it asap :)

I saw a vid of someone using TRIPLETS in the timeshaper/halftime effect. How can i achieve this instead of being limited to 1 bar, 1/2 1/4, 1/8/ etc..??

Open the Wave menu (by clicking the "three dots" menu, or by right-clicking on the main wave editor), then select "Show triplet grid".

is there a way to freely/custom adjust the shape of the curves - similarly as the way you can with automation curves in ableton?

Yes - you can draw any automation shape using a combination of Hard and Soft points.

Is there a way to have the length of the segment be, for example, 15 or 14 sixteenth notes long for polymetric phasing? Or to have the background sixteenth note grid be swung?
@Cableguys2 жыл бұрын
By retriggering the LFO with MIDI, you can create patterns in any time signature. So for your example, you would set up a MIDI note on every 15th 1/16 note, route it to ShaperBox, and set ShaperBox's MIDI Trigger to On. With a 1 Bar pattern, you'll see it jump back to the start every time the MIDI note is received, ie, it will only play 15/16 of the full bar. For swing, you can enable the triplet grid in the "…" menu (also available by right-click on the LFO editor area), and use that to draw swing patterns. is there any way to duplicate a complex selection, say, 1/2 within the same 1 bar?

So you want to duplicate the first half of the bar to the second half, for example? You can select the first half of the bar, hit the 2x button, then stretch the selection out so it takes up the full bar. Does that work for you?
