The 405 has Character Record, which when on records everything on the screen, which can be adjusted, however I cannot confirm whether you can just have the time code. So, in other words yes, but you'd be recording other information on the screen as well. Hope this helps,

I have no tried it, so I can't say for sure, but it is compatible with the Monitor and Control app from Sony which allows for camera control according to Sony. Can't say exactly what this entails tho.

@VisualsCoUk if it works with the monitor and control app then you can control focus on the app which is great news.. I'll have to pick one up.

@ on my atem mini extreme iso, I could not upgrade the firmware pass 8.7.1 because my ssd will stop working. It won’t record. And yes, I’ve tried several ssd from Blackmagic list and I encounter the same problem.

hmmm can't say I'm familiar with this issue. Maybe a browse through the relevant Blackmagic forum section may reveal some answers ?

The camera offers a clean feed out so I don't see why not.

As far as I'm aware it has a clean HDMI out, hope this helps.

I didnt have much time with the Shinobi II, so didn't really notice the exposure limitation while recording, good to know. I did notice it got a bit hot, similar to other monitors, but it did not overheat while I was using it.

thank you for watching. I have not shot with the Z190 so I can't say, but the Z200 is in my opinion a better choice today.

On the Z280, according to the Sony specs the lens is rated: F1.9 - F16. It does ramp at longer focal lengths. Z190 is f1.6 - f11, not constant as well. Hope this helps,

I've been trying to find out this info, I dont have any of the cameras with me at the moment, and can't find the exact ramp up stop in the Sony docs, I'd imagine 5.3 or a bit higher when zoomed out, but I cant confirm this. Hope this helps,

This is a good question, I can't find anything saying you can do this at this stage (I don't have access to the camera anymore). Should this change, I shall report back with findings, but I'd say no for this current firmware.

from the Sony provided specs: ISO 250 - 16000 range, -3 to 36 dB (Every 1 dB), Slog I believe is 1600. Hope this helps,

Either some sort of a USB-C splitter, if such thing exitsts, not sure to be honest. You will have to prioritise probably.

Yes, I'd say so. They are more compact and lighter, 1.3 to 1.4kg on average. Also their look is not the same, even though I have not had them side by side, they are not the same look wise. Hope this helps,

@@VisualsCoUk I already own the signature, just wanted to know if it’s a different look or just a more affordable option with the same look. We need to have a side by side comparison.

apparently the Enso's have a more neutral look compared to the Signatures. Working on putting together a side by side, can't guarantee, but I'll post a video if I manage to get the lenses back for a quick test. Stay tuned.

this is a camera for folks that want to stop chasing perfect no grain shots, and not be always buying new lenses. that's the best part. one incredible zoom lens. I just got one and has completely reinvigorated my love of shooting in a way I have not had since shooting skate videos in 6th grade, and watch skateboard vis tapes. drooling over "that Sony with the top handle". I got emotional taking it out of the box honestly after over a decade trying to get used to run and gun shooting cinematic content with everything from a red 1 to a kimono to several blackmagics and dslr rigs. this camera is a dream if you grew up poor dreaming of being a film maker and learned how to shoot on a borrowed/stolen neighbors Sony handy cam. it will remind you of how you held your camera when you first developed your style when you were young. it will free you. and the digital grain looks awesome. the digital zoom is not in any way like it was when your mom shot your soccer game in 1998. it's insane. if I had the resources I would love to create Barry Lyndon zooms with this for comparison.

it's downsampled from 6K, which makes the 4K extra crispy imo.

underrated these days, I agree. You can do great work with a good camcorder these days.

Hey Michael, I don't currently see it in the compatible cameras list here www.atomos.com/compatible-cameras/?_products=shinobi-ii&_brand=canon and I can't say for sure, but given it's a newer model from Canon, I'd venture a guess that there is high likelihood it comes to the R5 II at some stage. Hopefully soon.

This is just personal opinion, but for this kind of work I think the Z200 would be a better choice. Not sure what you mean by 'great clarity' on the FX3 - it has a much larger sensor, and yes it is sharp, but the Z200 is a better overall package for podcasts and houses of worship in my opinion.

Good questions, but recording functionality is in the Ninja line-up. I guess they'd want to segment their product line, but who knows maybe some of their future products will offer this.

@@VisualsCoUk, right, and I have a Ninja, but that doesn't offer camera control. So then it becomes the "which is more important to me" conundrum. It's the same conundrum I had when deciding between the differences between buying an FX3 or the FX6. It came down to internal stabilization or internal ND's. Now I kind of wish I'd gone with the 6 because of all of the extra stuff I've had to buy for the 3 to build it out, probably cost me more than if I'd gone with the 6 and suffered not have stabe.

all valid points. If camera control is to be a major feature going forward for Atomos products and I am assuming it would be, (I have no information or knowledge of upcoming products) one can probably assume they will implement it in future products. I dont know how much the Ninja V+ range is upgradeable and or if it will be getting the Camera Control functionality as an update/separate license , no idea. But it comes down to , as you said, whether this is a more important feature to you and if it will improve your current workflow.

@@VisualsCoUk the biggest issue I have is that if I want to record to my Ninja you have to enable raw out, which disables the Sony's built in screen. So tap to focus disappears. And I don't think they will be upgradable because they would require a control parameter, typically via USB, which they don't have

They are not listed in the supported cameras, so I'd say no at this stage.

Hey there, most of it is S-cinetone from what I . The footage wasn't meant to be seen as a guess which one it is, that's why I didn't label the shots, just a short selection of shots I captured with the camera. I'll upload some straight from camera shots at some stage, if that would be more helpful.
