I wanna go camping with you guys. I love it when others do the cooking. LOL. At our rally I didn't have to cook the whole weekend. Doug has some good dance moves there LOL. Happy Thanksgiving you guys.

According to Escape web page the queen bed is RV size not full queen. It shows it being 60x74 inches. Please correct your video. That is a deal killer for us because with the corner slice that leaves less than an RV queen bed. Ugh!! Our only option is the twin beds.

Hi Ron, thank you for your interest in Escape! We hope you get the opportunity to see an E23 Twin bed model in person and absolutely love it. In addition we offer the King bed E23. Please let us know how we may assist you. Warm regards, Samuel @ Escape

I love the way the lagun system is in the casita pole instead of attached to wall. Has anyone else tried this, and if so what system is needed. I have a used, new to me, independence with the tall southern mattresses so I need the height. I have, I believe, longer poles already and we have tried the original tables and made a round table but it still isn’t cutting it. I don’t want to install a lagun on a cabinet wall so this idea is the best for me. Is there a way to actually contact the actual owner of this modification? Thanks much.
@debbieburwell259415 күн бұрын
Found a response on the casita Mods site: Here is the Mod description we dropped the Lagun pole that goes down to the mounting base right into the existing table leg that came with the Casita. Then my husband drilled a hole through the Casita table pole approximately where we wanted it as far as height and was level with the top of the Lagun so that it would still swivel. To measure where to drill the hole i. The Casit leg, he laid the Lagun on the outside of the Casita leg, side my side, so he could see where the mounting hols were that were i. The Lagun as to line up an existing hole already on the Lagun leg. Then dropped the Lagun down i. The Casita pole and ran the bolt through for stabilization.

How tall can u be and fit in the shower of your casita
@TravelsandTravails15 күн бұрын
Definitely under 6’. It’s a really right space. I’m 5’ 7” and with the teak mat, I couldn’t stand up straight. I would sit on the toilet to shower. That worked.

Everything is repairable. I went to Canadian Tire in Canada and bought nuts with nylon that do not slip of and bolts. I added blue Loctite™. I have a really old camper. One thing I suggest to people with campers is to add a water accumulator tank like people use in rural areas. Once pressurized, you get running water with pressure. Saves the use of the pump and you don't hear the pump running if using the water at night.

Good suggestions!

How are these trailers insulated and what material is used for installation? Are those campers manufactured in my country, meaning Canada?

Comparing a 13 ft Scamp to a 17ft Casita is not a comparison, apples and limes. If you compare a 16 ft Scamp to a 17 ft Casita that is a comparison.

Your list is spot on. Some of these things we already have and some are on my wish list, cuz… Last week we FINALLY got a “new to us” trailer just for us. We are so excited!!!! (I found your channel when I was considering getting a Casita a couple of years ago.) I apologize in advance for over sharing our story. But I’m excited and know you will understand. But before I do, my thoughts on a couple of things on your list. Campfire-that exact one (cuz of a previous video of yours) has been on my wish list for awhile. Drink container-I need one of those!!! I have spilt mine in the truck twice! Journal-I love that idea and need to ask for that. Vacuum-Is a must! I got one at Aldi. It is rechargeable. Speaking of… Anything Rechargeable-is hands down better than something that needs batteries. I want to replace all items we have for camping with ones that don’t need batteries that if left in corrode. Adjustable table-Is also on my list because we need a good one and almost all campsites have uneven surfaces. I like the one you showed. Other thoughts: Coffee-from our previous camping days I bought a silicone collapsible single serve pour over coffee maker. Love it!!!…for us. Our camper didn’t come with a TV so I bought a small projector for our camper for watching videos or shows. We didn’t think we would want something like this, but after using the camper when the days are short and the nights are long, we think it be enjoyed during these cooler and darker months. QUESTION: How do you like your Induction cooktop? We also have a portable single burner propane stove for outside. I like it. However, I want to make some changes in our trailer. Our new to us camper has a three burner stove with an oven, which I don’t like. This is because it takes up too much counter space. One to two burners is plenty. Plus the oven is too big and not practical for the way we cook. So the long term plan is to remove it and replace it with maybe an induction cooktop and a convection/microwave combo. Your thoughts on the induction cooktop are appreciated. 👍 OUR STORY: Our last camper was a popup we used for when the kids were little. I can’t remember the last time we used it. 😢 Probably because I was soooo ready to have something much easier to setup and take down. Plus are kids are now grown and flown. It was probably eight years ago. We sold it in 2020 for more than what we bought it in 2009. After taking care of my mom for 5 years, she passed in April at 102. So now is our time! She would be so happy for us. She and my dad were full timers with a 40 ft fifth wheel for 20 years 1980-2001. We don’t want to go full time, but do want a minimal way to travel and explore the great outdoors of our nation. We bought “a new to us”, 2023 Escape 5.0 with contemporary interior. I know you know what it looks like. 😉 Oh and it is affectionately and appropriately named Rabbit Hole! 🐇 🕳️. Camping and RV lifestyle has been a series of internet rabbit holes over the years for me. In addition to FB and KZbin, I have been a member of Escape forum for a few years, which is where we found the trailer. We met up with the previous owners in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They live on the western border of Montana and we live in Tulsa, OK. Before we left Tulsa it had been unseasonably warm, like in the 90s🥵. Cheyenne’s high was 33 🥶with wet spitting snow❄️!!!! What a shocking first 24 hours with the trailer, thankfully it was cozy and warm. My husband had never driven a fifth wheel, but I had. I competed in rodeos as a kid and through HS. So I am familiar with pulling and maneuvering a trailer especially a fifth wheel which I prefer over a pull behind. We took a scenic and quick adventurous drive home. South through Denver, CO Springs, NM, Panhandle of TX to the “Little Grand Canyon” AKA Palo Duro Canyon SP😱😍-then 5 hours of torrential rain Amarillo-OK City to home. My husband’s family is from your neck of the woods. Maybe we will meet up some time. 🥰

That is such an exciting journey! I am happy for you. The 5.0 is my favorite Escape trailer! I have to be honest, I don’t love the induction cook top. When we had our Casita, we didn’t have a microwave and I was sure I never would, but I love having a microwave in the van!
@Darnabymom15 күн бұрын
@ I never was a microwave camper until this maiden voyage. I’m so glad I brought a little old small 700 watt one for the trip. I didn’t think fixing meals was going to be the focus of our trip home. Boy! Was I right! It was eat-sleep-drive repeat. Thanks for the heads up about the induction cooktop. I bet I will be happy with a small two burner propane one instead.
